Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Tw Not Coping

I started when I was in my late 20’s @creative_writer. I did all styles and exams.

My last ballet exam was intermediate foundation. If I had have done the next level I could have studied for my teachers. At the ripe old age of 40! The last tap exam was level 7

I also did jazz, hip hop, musical theatre,

modern and contemporary!

It’s never too late!

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Captain24 and @Birdofparadise8, I think I should be able to find an all female class, but I would have to talk to someone about doing exercises safely to prevent injury. Being double jointed may sound cool but not being careful results in pain.

Re: Tw Not Coping

The hard thing with anonymity is that I could find the perfect dance school for you both in your areas in Melbourne! @Birdofparadise8 @creative_writer.

My best friend is a former professional ballerina and is quite high in the RAD.

Re: Tw Not Coping

You can't just put the link in here @Captain24? I may have mentioned the uni I go to in a couple of post that would be were I am.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 and @Captain24 maybe talking to one of the teachers would be a good start. Right now, my body is kinda annoying so I get these aches and pains (I’m not even 30 yet so still young) because my joints are different. I guess I need to strengthen up.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yeah I think you can share the names of schools @Birdofparadise8 @Captain24 @creative_writer but setting up any meetings or trying to find each other is very much discouraged. Also might be a bit dicey if the schools are small. Hmm this might be one of those grey areas...

Re: Tw Not Coping

Im not sure @Birdofparadise8. I’d have to check and find out off my friend.

@creative_writer ballet can help with strengthening the correct muscles to help prevent injury. You would be surprised at how good it is for your body. Double jointed, knock knees, pigeon toes,
