@Birdofparadise8 Oh well I'm happy to hear you did get good news! But it's also okay to be scared or not feel 100% excited too - moving house at the same time would serve to be pretty overwhelming!
As for having these sad days and incredibly sad days, I hear you that it can be so hard to tolerate, and often our urge is to run away. Avoidance is a normal response, however it's not necessarily a helpful one. I read this very insightful article about trauma in the brain recently (link here) and one paragraph reads: "The most important goal is to develop a mindset of approach, rather than avoidance. You need to learn to approach difficult feelings and situations like conflict or intimacy in a mindful way and at your own pace. Trauma gives you an "all or nothing" mindset. A gradual, strategic approach is the antidote."
Another great resource is a blog/website called 'Beauty after Bruises' - on this page in particular if you scroll down a bunch, there's a little section labelled More posts you may find useful - it has a list of links to different coping tools and strategies for coping with those difficult emotions, flashbacks, etc., worth a look if you're looking for some more tools to help you cope with those harder emotional states.
Take everything at your own pace as always. Sometimes we won't always understand why we feel the way we do, but that doesn't mean we are powerless in the face of those difficult emotions.
PS I live in Melbourne, and I LOVE this city. I hope you get to have some exciting new experiences, meet some of the fab people here, and can enjoy a new adventure in your life 💜
