Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Can you try taking deep breaths, or can you talk to your wife @ArraDreaming

Punch a pillow?

Re: Not Coping

Go for a run?

If you want I am okay for you to say what you want to say even if it is angry.

I can take it. @ArraDreaming

Nice @Birdofparadise8 , I like it.. I just have a question, if that’s ok? 🙂

If you are using a comparison, it’s best to speak of it in the hypothesis… the data you kindly shared earlier shows two different data sets from two different areas on the body - however, your hypothesis only speaks of the Ha (alternate hypothesis - what you’re trying to prove exists), whereas to prove this, often a person needs to compare this to something. That something should be stated in the hypothesis. Does that make sense? 🌺🙂

thank you - berry pastry was so yum 😋

Just chilling and watching movies. Was going to do some study but I feel a bit tired.. I’m really enjoying chatting here with you though - exercising my brain cells with chatting about your project 🙂

I hope you don’t mind! 🌺

Ok what about punching the pillow @ArraDreaming

That can help.

Here is my title for the report

Investigating Tactile Acuity and Cortical Representation: Through Cutaneous Receptor and Two-Point Discrimination Across Peripheral Body Regions.

We looked at multiple body areas. @Former-Member

What is Ha? Is it to do with the different variables as well? The IP and DP

IV – Body region DV two-point discrimination and localisation of touch.

Re: Not Coping

Ah, I totally get it now: multiple data sets mean you aren’t using Ha (alternate hypothesis) method 🙌🏻🙂

your hypothesis can reflect more about comparisons across body regions, if you’d like it to?

Ha isn’t directly tied to IV & DV, because it looks at null comparisons (null hypothesis or Ho). So, please feel free to disregard my suggestion because I assumed there was only a two-point comparison 🤭🌺🙂

Re: Not Coping

So is my hypothesis from before okay @Former-Member

I'm so confused.

Re: Not Coping

Hi @Former-Member and @Birdofparadise8. Sending you both lots of positive vibes 💖🫂

Re: Not Coping

We hypothesise that higher tactile acuity, particularly the higher density of mechanoreceptors and larger cortical representation through the comparison of peripheral body regions, is linked with finer two-point discrimination and lower localisation of error.

Is that better? @Former-Member
