Thanks @Birdofparadise8 , I really appreciate that 🙂
Yes, I think also the feelings around the pool; how it was feeling when you came to that description..I think that is something that could be well discussed with your psych 🙂
Oh - I’m so sorry! That is a typo and should have said ‘I’ve’ instead of ‘IBD’ - sorry I don’t check before I posted! (By the way, IBD stands for inflammatory bowel disease - I type it a lot, so my phone gets overly enthusiastic with autocorrect at times! 🤭)
I think it’ll be good to keep discussing attachment with your psych, and even how this evenings chats are different to early last week - I feel that you have better coping skills in place, since then 🙂
Yes, it’s a challenge to decide on priorities for discussion with your psych - this is where I was thinking writing it down and then reviewing later might be helpful ..what do you think?
I do understand it’s difficult to see where the growth in self reliance and self soothing is happening - still early days, and it’s at times harder to see our own changes compared to others seeing them. I feel you’re starting to develop those skills 🙂
Relying on others while developing skills is what I’d imagine would be happening birdofparadise8; it takes time xx
I think you’re doing well 🙂
small steps, but things look like they’re heading in the right direction! Nothing has to be perfect; the only thing that matters is the steps towards your goals 🙂
