Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 I’m not sure if I am the right person to answer this question. I have heard of trauma releasing exercises before which can release emotions in the process. I don’t think you would be the only one feeling emotional after a run. I’ve done a quick google search, so it does happen. Emotions often get stored in the body.

Hmm okay that’s interesting is that like when your stressed you can get a headache or store the tension in you shoulders for example @creative_writer

@Birdofparadise8 a lot gets stored in the body. Even little t (traumas) can get stored in the body. Small things can add up.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@creative_writer We definitely do internalise what we have been told and how we have been treated - especially when that is all we have known. It takes a lot for us to trust and to be able to break free from those constraints. Little by little though we can break down those barriers but we also have to be able to trust ourselves - and that is not easily done. It takes work and a lot of re-learning of so much that we have thought, witnessed and been through. Sometimes the biggest barrier to healing/recovery is ourselves. By that I mean - we have been through so much, been treated so badly and been left on our own to deal with everything that we have no idea how to see life as any different nor have any confidence to change everything that we have always known. I think though that by just being here, we are making a small change. You are part of a caring community, among people that get it and show so much strength already by not only reaching out but supporting others. I see your courage in sharing your thoughts and feelings here and also the compassion you show to others. Those are real strengths and you should be very proud of how much you give and all that you already are.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Awwww...hugs to you @Birdofparadise8 - sorry the day hasn't been so well for you.

Have you started packing? How do you parents feel about you moving?

As for myself, I've been pretty on the go. Was in the pool everyday because it was so hot during the Christmas period.

I've also had church services I've attended. Had family at my place from interstate.

So yes, much as been happening.

My sleep has been out of whack a bit with so many events on, but it's been good to just hang out.

I've also been doing some reading.

How have things been going for you lately? There may be a lot I've missed!

No not yet I don’t find out till 1st or Feb if I have gotten in. Then I will be packing like crazy hahaha. They will have to get over it lol.

Your so lucky to be able to go in the pool everyday that’s so nice.

What have you been reading @tyme

Very up and down if you look back at old posts though I didn’t go through with my plan is good.

Re: Tw Not Coping

I'm so pleased you did not go through with 'the plan'. There is so much ahead of you @Birdofparadise8 . Your studies, your dance, your career. Seems like many would covet what you have. Oh... and that chemistry brain of yours too! erghhh..... I hated chem. By the way, how did that exam go?

I am reading a book called Fault in our Stars. Only up to the beginning. About teenagers navigating life while having cancer. I believe there is a movie too. Haven't seen it though.

I was watching Slumdog Millionaire last night. I haven't finished it yet though. It's about a boy/teenager living in the slums who is accused of cheating in an indian style 'Who wants to be a millionaire' game. He then goes through each of this answers which he answered correctly to explain how he knew the answers - that is, through his life experiences living in the slums.

It is interesting to learn about Indian culture and how the caste system plays such a huge role. And how the kids have to be so cunning in order to survive.

I've been to india. It was such a colourful, welcoming country. Very different to Australia though.

Have you travelled much @Birdofparadise8 ?
