You have been busy so maybe its could be a pamper day, or a run and then a bath and then a movie ...
I find making lists really helps me as when I notice my list on the bench, I can refocus on what had been a good idea that I had totally forgotten about.
I have had dates as part of 'a plan'. The whole 'plan' word became a bit taboo for me cos it would send me spare ... quietly inside where nobody could see. I would also set conditions such as 'when this happens then I will ... ' but I think I am moving into a calmer more accepting state and grappling with the idea of not only having permission to live ... but living life to my fullest. I am not young, so when they say life begins at ... I have to shake my head quizzically and say ... can I begin in my 60s? My brother who has since died of colorectal said I was not really living. At the time, I thought I am doing my best, but I had to learn to laugh as well as cry. I am learning to face my fears and laugh at life .. sometimes ... only sometimes. Moving away from my sorrow or depression came with the concept of a half smile in meditation ... have you heard of it? I did not know much ... just experimented with it. Not sure what else you value apart from work??
@creative_writer Sounds like a trauma response. I also have a lot of agitation in my mix of moods. My pdoc said I possibly had mixed state bipolar. Sometimes resting is all I could manage, sometimes walking and being busy helped expend my energy and distract my mind. Other times doing music was best.
