Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

@Birdofparadise8, things can look pretty gloomy for the new year when you are not feeling the best. I do hope the new year does bring in better days for you, I don't think we should give up on hope just yet, even when things feel the darkest.

Yeah maybe I’m just over feeling like this all the time everyone around me in my family are all happy and truly living. Where I am just fighting to get through each day. I just hope I can keep myself safe tomorrow with my plan and everything @creative_writer

@Birdofparadise8 I feel you on that one. Though I feel more people struggle with mental illness than we realise. It does frustrate me that it often feels like I'm always the depressed one needing support. I really do hope you can stay safe.

Oh definitely a lot of people do suffer with MH, but in my family though like my parents ect are okay.

Hmm yeah I’ll see about that I have work so other then that keeping me safe I’m not sure. @creative_writer

@creative_writer Religious customs around sexuality can make navigating SA extra tricky. I had similar with my mother and Catholicism, except they all seemed to forget there was responsibility to protect me as a very young minor. It can get complicated.

@Birdofparadise8 Sometimes feelings and personality make it not easy to get into "the spirit". At least you did the right thing and visited. Its good you 2 have found each other. I am another generation, so there are a lot of differences.

I watched 1/2 extended version of Lord of the Rings with my son and we did a retrospective heard the noise outside, had a hug and high five. I enjoyed hearing all his reflections about when he was little and his insights into the movie now. Kept expectations low but sharing and keeping it real.
