Welcome and getting started

Family separation

Family separation

Hi l,m new to this forum and nervous. About a month ago my wife of 25 years up and left me with 4 days warning leaving me $ 40 a few small household items and and old car barely reliable. She took the nice car we jointly owned and paid for. She then got a family violence order with a load of untrue claims of domestic violence etc. It resulted in a sucide attempt from me as l have long suffered depression and anxiety. She refuses to communicate and left in a financial mess.

Re: Family separation

@Former-Member Thanks for your support. It's difficult to talk about mental health and how our lives are affected by it but it's not helped when so many sudden bad events happen at once.

You are welcome to phone one of our amazing counsellors on 1800 187 263 (M-F 10am-10pm AEDT).

Re: Family separation

Just an update. I have been to see a doctor from the Catt team today and they are going to organise a few things such as an increase in medication, and possibly a hospital stay. I would probably go mad in a hospital for day but if it sorts things out . I am dreading the court hearing in.early November.
