Something’s not right

Struggling: TW suicide

Struggling: TW suicide

I have been struggling a lot lately with suicidal thoughts. It’s become a daily occurrence and it’s been really overwhelming to cope. I am safe right but having to fight this is very exhausting. I feel so trapped, I am tired of living in pain, fear and shame. I feel like a burden to people and unimportant.

Yep @Bow

You don’t have to remember what you said to one and forget to tell the other. It’s all there! Im so glad I found them. My dietitian is through them as well. Im going to ask for a psychologist when me free apps with the therapist are done. She isn’t through them and is on the outer.

@Bow and @Captain24 I am glade you were able to get a lot of support through them. I have been in contact with them in the past and my parents were aware of it back then. I did complete intensive treatment treatment through HOPE (Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement) and found it helpful. The only thing is I don’t want to tell my parents because they go into anxiety mode and are sort of distrusting in the mental health system. I don’t want to be triggered. I can’t attend a face to face appointment with them without informing my parents. I don’t drive and even if I was to take public transport they will ask me where I was going. I may be an adult but I still live under their roof. The acute community mental health team can’t do telehealth, so I haven’t gone ahead with it yet.

@Snowie it’s so confusing. Like I want to move forward but I find myself avoiding conflict at times. I got a response from the psychiatrist I emailed, he said he is not taking more clients but suggested someone else. Will try to call again on Monday just to confirm he is taking new clients.

Re: Struggling: TW suicide

In the beginning I use to struggle with what you are saying @creative_writer … telling my folks where I was going when I had appointments, cause they live with me. I just told them I was going to see a friend, or going to the shops.

Re: Struggling: TW suicide

@creative_writer I hope you are able to find a psychiatrist soon. It is hard when we don't have the supports we need.

Re: Struggling: TW suicide

@Bow though they would ask which friend. I could say I am going shopping, but it’s not normal behaviour for me to go out alone. I am pretty much in the house most of the time, don’t usually go anywhere and I barely have any friends. I am also afraid that if I say I want to go to the shops, I’ll have someone come with me and drop me off.

@Snowie I am thinking of what to do short term. Psychiatrists often have waitlists.

@Snowie, thank you, I really appreciate it 💖. I just hope I can get the support I need. It’s hard when I never really feel fully safe around people.
