I have been struggling a lot lately with suicidal thoughts. It’s become a daily occurrence and it’s been really overwhelming to cope. I am safe right but having to fight this is very exhausting. I feel so trapped, I am tired of living in pain, fear and shame. I feel like a burden to people and unimportant.
Do you have community mental health where you’re located @creative_writer ?

@Snowie it can be tiring telling your history over again. I am so particular with psychiatrists only because it is really hard for me to feel comfortable around people which narrows it down.
@Bow we do have community mental health but I'll probably have to call the triage and they will decide if I require further help.

It can be tiring telling our history again and again @creative_writer
Hopefully you don't have to go through it for your sake.

@creative_writer When I am sitting and waiting to see one of my supports from community mh, I often see ‘walk-ins’ come in and ask to speak to someone. It couldn’t hurt to go and ask maybe?

Re: Struggling: TW suicide
@Snowie I am afraid I will need to retell my history with the psychiatrist, I wouldn’t feel okay if a psychiatrist knew all of my history without talking to me. I only reveal what I want to reveal.
@Bow I guess it wouldn’t hurt. I have a counsellor appointment tom so can discuss options with her. Sometimes it helps to have a support advocating for you. I sure hope I do stabilise. SI isn’t as strong but it is still there. I can’t forget what I was close to doing the other day.

Re: Struggling: TW suicide
That is understandable that you only want them to know what you are comfortable with @creative_writer
As you feel more comfortable with them, hopefully you can open up to them more.
I hope for your sake that the appointment tomorrow helps in many positive ways.

Re: Struggling: TW suicide
@Snowie I hope so too. I’m going to try reaching out to another psychiatrist through email to see if it is possible for him to take me as a client. Just got to keep trying. I’m also glade that SANE counselling service is also running. It was hard not being able to reach out when I was doing it so often before the holidays.

I hope they can take you on as a patient @creative_writer
It is good the Sane support is back for you and you feel comfortable reaching out to them.

Re: Struggling: TW suicide
@Snowie I had my counsellor appointment today. It was okay. I am stuck with a migraine and intense agitation right now, like my head is going to explode 😫. I popped on my evening glasses, even though they are technically for the evening, it helps with eye strain and agitation a bit. I have the blinds down, but it’s still too bright, Australians summers are so bright even when it’s so cloudy.
I hope today has been kind to you hon 💖.

I'm glad your appt. went okay @creative_writer Hoping you were able to talk through a few things that you needed to talk about.
Hopefully your migraine starts to ease a bit. I get them too and the light effects me as well.
