Something’s not right

Please, not this again

Please, not this again

A few years ago and after much hard work I slowly took myself off my truck load of meds and stopped seeing Psychiatrist. I completely changed my life to reduce stress etc and have done so well for a couple of years. But ... Not any more, feel like things are spinning out of control, depression getting harder to hide. I don't have an out as I promised my family suicide wouldn't be an option again. I simply cannot get on the Mental Health merry go round of finding professional support ( I was m/h professional myself for many years and am SO cynical) or the on going dramas of trialling/ adjusting meds, constant appointments etc. Many will relate to this merry go round that I can't contemplate again. Any thoughts fellow survivors??

HI there,

What are the sorts of things that you useto do that you really liked? hobbies or interests? maybe you could find something to keep you busy ? i love to garden or draw. i try to look for nice little things when times are tricky- noticing the grass being really green.

Hi @meggles1

i feel a bit like you.. though i'm still working i feel as though i've lost the reason for it or the purpose.. or soemthing. i try and tell myself that its the depression talking.. the low feelings and that it will pass. But its hard many days.

The truth is though that you are still needed and important. You're still a mum and are needed very much!

Wow about the sky diving!! did you enjoy it? (even with the dark thoughts 😞 I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

@meggles1, thanks so much for sharing, fellow survivor! I love your six week plan, I can hardly wait to see my psychologist for the first time and joining the gym is such a fantastic idea too! Think of how good you'll feel after a workout and a shower and a good feed! Please let us know how you go with it all! 💗
