I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

We had Thai @creative_writer it was really good. Best thing I have eaten in a while.

Yeah it was a good distraction @tyme. plus it was good that I had some company.

Dad is doing well. He feels fine. We are just waiting to find out when he can have surgery and start radiation.

The sunshine was really nice here today too. I mowed my lawn. I needed to get exercise in.

It feels good to get out into the sun. Hay fever sucks though! I feel you. Spring is full of antihistamines!

I had the weirdest thing happen to me last night while I was sleeping. I heard my nan calling out for my mum. I couldn’t see her so I don’t think it was a dream. It was totally her voice. She use to get me mixed up with mum when her dementia was advanced. It was nice to hear her voice though.

Hey @creative_writer ,

Do you tend to do anything for father's day?

I can't say I do. We've never been a birthday, mother/father's day, anniversaries sorta people. We just didn't grow up that way.

@Captain24, Thai sounds nice. We had Thai last week, the fish we got was lovely.

Sounds like you’ve been productive today too!

@tyme, we had takeaway, but we had it early. My mum had to fly out to see gran and my bro is occupied with work (out of his control) so couldn’t make it today. Everyone is different. We do have celebrations.

@tyme and @Captain24, I need Hayfever meds too, Melbourne is a beast in spring

Re: I can’t cope

You sound like you had a really nice day @Captain24 🙂 Maybe I haven't given Thai enough of a go to say I like it. It's coconut-based? My sister asked me tonight what I wanted so she could book something this week. I said Chinese. But maybe I should give Thai a go? What do you recommend?

@creative_writer , sounds like you have a very busy household. Hope you okay.

With this sunshine today, I feel so so so good. I thought I felt good before, but the sun makes such a difference! Yes, the kids were annoying me, but I really really enjoyed the sun. Just being able to go out for long walks was amazing.

Yeah it’s coconut cream based but doesn’t taste like coconut if that makes sense @tyme. I love curries so I had green curry. Mum had pad Thai which is a noodle dish and dad had a satay based chicken. Massmum beef is really nice it’s a really mild curry with beef, potatoes and onion. Dad can eat it and doesn’t get heartburn.

Sun is awesome. I can’t wait until it gets hot!! Summer is my favourite season

Oooooo @Captain24 . Thai sounds enticing. I'm not sure I'll go that way though. I'll speak to my sister and see what she thinks.

Summer? Really? I prefer Spring. I don't mind the Melb summer because I can jump in the pool and it's a dry heat. I can't say I like the QLD or NSW heat because of the humidity. I prefer the dry heat even if it's 45 degrees.

It gets quite humid here @tyme. We are situated between 2 large dams. Im that person that you see outside mowing their lawns in the hottest part of the day, even if it’s 40+. I absolutely love it. If I’m not mowing I’m outside laying in it.

@tyme, my mum flying out was a very last min thing, my gran was in hospital earlier in the week but she is back home now. Mum still wanted to see her

@Captain24, I don’t really like summer, I have to take extra caution during hot and long days. Daylight savings makes daylight confusing. Who thought it was a good idea? It’s a perfect idea for screwing up people’s MH

Re: I can’t cope

I love it @creative_writer. Im sorry it messes with your MH.

Im going to bed now @creative_writer @tyme. I have a big day tomorrow. Blood tests, an appt with my dietitian and CM together which is not going to go well, I’ve tried to increase my intake but not to what they want. Then I have an app with my psychologist.

Hope you both have a good day

Unfortunately, in built up areas, everything is artificial including may yards. It end up producing these micro climates which is so bad @Captain24 .

If I wasn't allergic to grasses and grass seeds, I'd be lying in it too!!!!

Anyway, I'm off now. Speak to you later in the week.

Stay well and stay safe 🙂
