I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

I’m about to head off to work. I don’t think it’s the best idea but I have to do it. I still feel really low, my headspace isn’t good at all. I still wish I wasn’t here.

Work was ok @Bow @Snowie. It wasn’t very distracting though. I’m still stuck in my head.

I failed the meal plan @Bow. I didn’t have breakfast. I did have a small salad for lunch though. I had to fight my head to eat it. It was hard.

Now I’m home I’m really struggling. Plus I found out family are visiting but I can’t see them because I’m working. I could have done with the pick me up. They are awesome and always make me laugh.

Just wishing to go to sleep and not wake up.

can you call in sick to work or change your shift? @Captain24 i dont feel you should have to miss out on seeing your family.
maybe some of your family could stop in on your lunch break or dinner break for a quick catch up

I agree with @outlander, can you try and change your shift to be able to see your family.

I’ve already had way too much time off with dad @outlander so I can’t call in sick. There is no way to change shifts in my job. @Snowie It’s a regular rotating roster. We only get 30min lunch breaks and they are in the pit. My work is about 40mins out of town.

Maybe I’ll see them next time. They are from Sydney and one is from Queensland and don’t come out here very often.

Aww that really sucks @Captain24 - it sounds like your hands are really tied in being able to see your fam. It's good they're such a great source of warmth and joy for you. I know it's not the same, but maybe you could organise to catch up with them via video chat some time soon?

Also agree that something is better than nothing. You did so well! Little steps forward is still forward.

That’s my what my job is like @Jynx. I have to organise with my boss tomorrow to catch up with me at lunchtime so I can use his phone to ring home and get dads results.
