I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

It sounds like you've been having a hard time navigating the thoughts around what you want out of life?

I'm sorry it feels hard for you today.

I was feeling a little like that yesterday about life but I was reminded that even on those hard days I need to be gentle with myself.

What are some ways you can be gentle with yourself? Please know that you are not alone in this.

I’m struggling with self care too right now. @fluffylight. All I’ve got is to sit on the lounge. I’ve just got nothing. Things are getting pretty dark.

Tell me about this dark place you are in. You're sharing feelings of having nothing.. and this image you've shared speaks a thousand words. This sounds very tough.

I've definitely felt this before and these feelings arise for me, I have to remind myself that I am beyond this and I can get through this.

How are you feeling? Will you be able keep yourself safe tonight?

It’s so dark that I don’t see any reason to go on @fluffylight. When you get asked about your future and you have nothing then why even bother.

What’s the point?

I threw out my extra stuff so I don’t think I have enough to end it. So I guess I have to be safe.

Hey @Captain24 I'm sorry to hear you're in a dark place at the moment. I'm glad that you're safe right now, and I hope you do contact a crisis line if things get too overwhelming for you tonight.

It's hard when we feel like there's no future for us. It can feel so out of reach to even imagine the life we want. But maybe try to anyway? Humans are funny things, and sometimes just visualising the things we want can act as encouragement to help us take the small steps we need to take to get there.
