Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

It's a bit cold here. I just came back from the park. I took the kids to play soccer and have some outdoor time at the park. @Snowie . I was feeling quite warm, but now that I'm home, it's cold.

How are you going today @Snowie ? I acknowledge that is hasn't been easy for you lately.

Re: I can’t cope

No nothing planned other than I have to go to mums for dinner @Snowie. It’s her birthday. Dad had me get her a gift voucher for a balloon ride. So I had to get one too.

Hi @tyme

how are you?

Hey @Captain24 ,

I'm well.

As hard as being around your folks is for you at time, it really sounds like you are a close knit family.

My mother doesn't even know when my birthday is! And it's not because she had 10 kids or anything!

Argh well... they are travelling the world at the moment.

As for you, how's your day been today? Hope it's been better. I never got to ask you, how did your second appointment with your psych go?

Re: I can’t cope

That sounds like fun @tyme getting outside with the kids.

It is cold here today. Thankful for my heater.

Today has been a struggle. I think I will be going to bed early.

Wow a balloon ride sounds great @Captain24

I don't think I would be able to go on one. Scared of heights!

I’m sorry about your parents not knowing your birthday. That’s rough.

My psych appointment went ok actually @tyme. She asked me how I was after the last one and I was totally honest. This time she was a lot more gentle. We had the app outside. She taught me grounding and I actually got it.

There is a group of about 20 gum trees on the hospital grounds. She made me pick one that speaks to me. There was one that was split into 6 different branches at the base. I saw it as broken like me. There was a stump in the middle so it grew whole but was cut down and grew back broken. That’s how I feel.

I had an app today with my CM. I didn’t really say much. There was lots of silences. She asked me if I was safe. She wanted to admit me.

I came home and went to bed. I’m still there.

Ballooning is on our bucket list @Snowie. We have already done skydiving. I also want to take her white water rafting. I’ve already done it but I think she would love it.

Re: I can’t cope

Wow @Captain24 it sounds like you like extreme sports and the adrenaline rush!!

The best thing I ever did was go scuba diving with H and the kids. Best experience of my life. Would defiantly do again.

Sky diving sounds scary for me but glad you enjoyed it. H would go, I would just watch from the safe ground!

@tyme family isn't always blood. I have learnt that the hard way. Our close friends are more like family then my actual family.

Re: I can’t cope

I’ve been scuba diving too. I’ve done it 3 times but I want to do it on the Barrier Reef @Snowie. I think it would be epic. Yeah we do like extreme. I’d skydive again!

I guess it’s something to look forward too. Just not sure when we are doing it.

Re: I can’t cope

We did it on the Great Barrier Reef in QLD @Captain24 It was certainly something I will never forget.

I hope you get a chance to skydive again. I don't think I would have the courage to jump out of the plane!! I don't even like flying. I feel like I am seeing a whole different side of you. One that is very courageous!!

I think sometimes it helps if we have something to look forward too.

Re: I can’t cope

I can be extreme @Snowie. I guess it’s one thing to be proud of.

I’ve gotten out of bed and moved to the lounge. I just did something stupid. I should have stayed there
