I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

I’m lucky at this stage @tyme. A friend gave me this one to do because she didn’t want too. So it’s hers when I’m done! I should be done by Sunday. Then it’ll be a wait until the next ones.

I was thinking of putting mine, when I do them, into a frame. But that means I need to get a builder to put picture rails through the rest of my house. I only have them in the entry, media room and hall at this stage. It’s becoming quite an expensive hobby!

Maybe you could put them in a frame and say you thought of them as you did it. Lol.

@Former-Member its like paint by numbers but with painful tiny little diamond blocks that you have to stick in. It is very time consuming but I am finding very therapeutic.

Re: I can’t cope

yes @Captain24 it sounds very therapeutic and mindful!

And it's so kind of you to do one for your friend. A bit of a win-win for you!

I hated it a the start @Former-Member but she needed it done and she has helped me a lot, through this mess I’m in, so it was more of a thank you. It has turned out as a win win. I am so grateful to her for her help and for this diamond art

Re: I can’t cope

Just had my GP app and she is concerned about my very dark moods of a night and has increased my meds.

Hopefully that will help and I don’t have to keep going through what I went through last night.

Re: I can’t cope

Out of curiosity @Captain24 , do you have long periods of ups and downs? Or does your mood change throughout the day or in the hour, etc?

Re: I can’t cope

Since I have been taking notice in May I had an up mood for 5 days. That was no sleep and constantly on the go. Then I crashed after that and that’s when I started to seek help @tyme

Recently an up mood can be anywhere between 2 days to a couple of hrs. Being on the anti-psychotics and anti-depressants together cause a lot of rapid cycling where I’d be hypo at the start of the day and deep dark low of a night. This rapid is the most common though. If there is a cycle the day always goes from high to low.

Since the anti-psychotics have been increased and the anti-depressants removed I haven’t had a hypo mood at all just a stable mood or really low mood. Last night was the lowest I’d been since I nearly ended it 3 and a bit weeks ago.

Don’t know if I explained it well?

Re: I can’t cope

Yes, you have explained it very well @Captain24 . It will be good to keep a mood tracker diary, I've done them in the past. Or you can come up with your own which incorporates amount of sleep at each point. I found this tracking very helpful to take to a psychiatrist. It can also include meds.

Just a thought.

Re: I can’t cope

Since I saw the psychiatrist I have been keeping a diary @tyme. Just to try and see the patterns plus I have no idea of my triggers. So I’m trying to work it out.
Apparently the cycle of being ok during the day and then crashing at night is part of it. That’s why I now have to take an extra tablet earlier after lunch to try and stop the dark nights

Re: I can’t cope

As you work with the meds, you'll find what works for you @Captain24 . It is a bit of trial an error. I used to take PRN medication when things were getting rough. It certainly helps until psychotherapy strategies kick in.

You are doing really well 🙂
