Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @FloatingFeather. I’m not going to die of Covid but my MH could lead me there.

If it wasn’t for my furbaby I wouldn’t be here @hanami. She is my everything!

Re: I can’t cope

I don’t know what to do… it’s so dark.

I’ve got all the lights on. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I’ve tried releasing the pain but it’s still there.

I’m struggling right now.

Hoping venting will help. But I don’t feel I deserve it

I don’t feel like I deserve anything tonight @Bow . It’s just one of those nights that I’d rather just not be here.

Re: I can’t cope

It’s the only thing left that I can do @Bow.

I don’t know if it’s the Covid, the isolation or just me being worthless @tyme. I just have that I don’t want to be here feeling

I just feel like it’s a massive fall down.

Re: I can’t cope

Sounds so tough @Captain24 ,

I know you mentioned in the past that you do enjoy your work and it does give you some routine in life and something to wake up to.

If I remember correctly, at the end of this iso period, it'll be nearly 2 weeks you haven't been to work.

Did you mum end up coming over to take the dog for a walk?

I'm here tonight if you need a chat. We can have lots of cuppas lol. Hot choc with sweetened condensed milk?

Also, please know you can contact our counsellors on our drop-in service on 1800 187 263 (10am-10pm).

You DO deserve the support.

Re: I can’t cope

It’s so hard tonight @tyme

It’ll be 16 days between shifts so I guess when you point that out it’s a long time. I do need routine so I’m trying to have a routine while I’m off but it’s not the same.

Yeah mum picked pixie up so she got her walk. I will head out around the estate again in the morning. It’s not a big walk but my MH is more important at the moment than Covid.

I was on chat before it help stop the SH urges. But didn’t stop me not wanting to be here.

It sounds really bad but I kind of wish I was really sick with this and I wouldn’t have to fight.

I really feel like I’m back where I started. I’m hoping it’s just a bump in the road. I really just want to give up.

Re: I can’t cope

I hear you @Captain24 ,

The chat or calls may not 'stop' you having urges and thoughts, but remember, while you are conversing, you are still here.

Here are some other numbers if you feel the need to contact crisis lines:

  • Lifeline on 13 11 14
  • beyondblue on 1300 224 636
  • Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467

I hear this is very tough, yet I also see this as a 'bump' in the road. It may be a slightly bigger bump, but we are here to help you get through it.

16 days is a LONG time without work, particularly if you are used to working long hours. And, there's only so many hours you can sleep in a day.

Have you made yourself a hot drink yet?
