I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Why do you use that phone and not your normal phone? @MissGremlin

The first time I went for the dermatologist appointment I found it. I’ve been going there every time ever since!

I’ll just have to give it a red hot crack they do have to be bathed though as they are full of sand and salt plus they didn’t get bathed before we left. I really need the dogs done and my lawns done before my appointment so that I can then go around and do mum and dads. Dads highly allergic and can’t do it! I just have to do it. If I actually had have done something on the weekend it would have made tomorrow so much easier. Or if I didn’t get spots cut out I would have been home earlier and could have done something.

Im just going to take my meds without the ones that make me sick if I don’t eat.

When I got there today they had updated their system and I needed to fill out a new form. It asked for medications, so I got my phone out and went to the list. Checked the page… 1 line.. 1 line is all that they had for medication! I’m on 10 including 2 supplements. I just went and said sorry.. I’ve run out of room and she laughed!

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 the other isn't just used by me, but I use it to do things when I'm watching my TV show on my main phone.

I'm hoping you're able to get everything that you want done tomorrow sweet. Maybe after a busy day you might get a really good night's rest, one can only hope.

Oh gees, that's alot of medications. Sometimes they never leave enough space for things, I feel like that when I'm asked what my diagnoses are 😂.

Re: I can’t cope

Oh ok.. that’s tough. I couldn’t cope with watching tv on my phone! @MissGremlin. Do you have a tablet or a laptop? Or do you use that for something else?

I have written a list so I’m hoping I can get there if I follow it and don’t let those thoughts get into my head. Currently they are really loud and really clear. I just have to push. The lawns need to be done because of snakes and dad can’t do it.

I just give bipolar, adhd and autism. I figure that covers the most of it. 😜 Yhere is a lot but that’s what got me to the stable part. My gp wants to lessen what I’m on. He said it’s to many. It’s just going to mess with my head more going through withdrawals and stuff. I want my Pdoc in control of it anyway.

Once upon a time people would ask medications? None. Illness? None! Now I have to have it all written in my phone!

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 no i don't, I use my phone for everything.

I'm hoping it helps to have that list written. I know how loud and clear those thoughts can get, I'm hoping it helps to keep busy doing things. I find that mine are quieter when I'm busy with housework but when I stop they get so loud and intense. I know how important it is for the lawns to be done, especially as we're getting warmer weather now.

My main ones are Depression, anxiety, OCD, BPD, bipolar, Cptsd and the epilepsy. But then there's undiagnosed adhd, autism and the heart condition that so far is just inappropriate sinus tachycardia. I'd definitely trust the Pdoc more than just the GP to deal with the medication side of things, it needs to be done carefully and under close supervision.

I'm the same but it's only cos I wasn't diagnosed, I've had depression since I was about 9, that's when i started with the SH.

Re: I can’t cope

I’m hoping so. I manage to get ready and get out today because I had to so I’m hoping it follows through. @MissGremlin

Yeah.. depression, I just leave that one go and add it to bipolar. I have anxiety and cPTSD as well. I never remember them all so I just give the basics.

Dog feeding time. Pixie was asleep. Right in the middle of a snore when her alarm went off. Now she is up and jumping around. 😂

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 you did so well today sweet, I'm proud of you.

There really does get too many to remember. Maybe i should get like business cards printed with everything on it 😂😂.

Haha awww that's so cute. Casper knows that he gets dinner at 4.30, it used to be 5pm, he gets so excitedand jumps and spins around. But if I'm napping at his normal time he'll wait until whenever I wake up.

Re: I can’t cope

Oh no… Pix will wake me up if she thinks it’s time to eat! @MissGremlin When we were away she decided at about 8 that it was dinner time and jumped around the kitchen and chucked tantrums. I just laughed at her and told her to wait!

I’ve just gotten into bed. I’ve had a shower so that’s good. I’ve taken my meds minus the one that makes me sick if I don’t eat. I’ve taken others but have run out. The only other ones I have to declare on a drug test but needs a dr certificate to go with it. So if I take that I could get into trouble.

I am praying I can get to sleep and stay asleep for the night. Not looking forward to at the clock every hour. Plus I’m also dreaming about everyday things. Like being at work or shopping or with someone. It’s kinda like I don’t know what’s a dream and what’s real. That’s getting really hard and exhausting. I know it sounds weird. I don’t dream this much either. I just want to close my eyes and open them at 7! Like I use to do.

I really hope you get some sleep again tonight.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 I love how they have their little personalities 😂. Pix knows what she wants and she better not be kept waiting 😂.

That's great that you had a shower and I'm glad you're in bed, I really hope you can get a good night's sleep tonight sweet.

I can understand about the dreaming and having to question what's real and what's a dream. It's like that for me when I have the nightmares, especially the ones that are when I'm still awake but not fully, yes I'm aware how weird that sounds. Fingers crossed you sleep through the night, sending lots of love and hugs sweetheart ❤️.

Thankyou sweet, we'll see how tonight goes for both of us.

Re: I can’t cope

All good @Captain24 :)

I'm glad there was so many things to see and enjoy! And more opportunities to explore next time too. So glad you avoided the red-bellied nope rope that would have been scary! O_O

It's definitely a challenge and would be different for everyone. I think the habit and associations would make it a really big challenge - like if you associate cigs with stress-relief, then it's gonna take a while before that habitual behaviour goes away. It can help I think sometimes to find another, healthy habit to try to make an association with. Replacing habits is easier than breaking them. So like instead of doing nothing when the craving hits while feeling stressed, you could step outside and do a few minutes of breathing exercises or maybe chew some gum or something, until the feeling passes.

Have you thought about calling or reaching out to Quitline? There's a bunch of info and resources on their website - https://www.quit.org.au/en

They have an app now too by the looks. Just some food for thought ;)
