Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

That sounds sooooo lovely @Captain24 !

Awwww, my dear @Captain24 - I'm so proud of you!

I haven't even thought about what I'm doing tomorrow....

As for Oportos! I didn't even know it still existed! It was around when I was a kid, but I haven't seen one in ages!

Yum yum!

I might see if I can go to a cafe tomorrow or something. Things are so expensive now!

Re: I can’t cope

I think it’s the only Oporto’s in a regional area. @tyme. They have quite a few in Sydney. That’s where I discovered my love for it.

Let’s see if I can pull tomorrow off too. I will know people though. That’s more daunting!

Yeah cafes are expensive now. But I never do it. I don’t think I’ve ever been out for breakfast! Would you go on your own?

I also did a good deed yesterday. I found out my cousins daughter is going to World Youth Day in Portugal this year. So I sent some money to help, she’s a uni student working three jobs to support herself and pay for the trip and offered my stuff that I took when I went.

Re: I can’t cope

That's so kind of you @Captain24 - people who work hard to pay for things like that makes the trip so much more worthwhile.

I was looking at my nieces and nephew today, and I'm thinking, "these kids are so entitled..." They have way too much and are not grateful...

Less is more? I don't know.

As for brekkie out, I usually turn it into brunch because not many places are open at 8 am in the morning. By the time they open at 10 or so, that's close to lunch, so it ends up being brunch instead.

As for going myself, I just to have no problem. I went everywhere and just chilled at San Churro or a local cafe. Since COVID, I don't think I've done it on my own. I've only bought takeaway.

It's whatever works. I hope you enjoy it tomorrow. Take some photos and hopefully we can share our day together in the evening. I'll be on in the evening tomorrow.

I still have no focus. I’m falling even further. Just trying to hold on and ride it through. It’s easier said than done.

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @Captain24 - How did today go? Did you end up having brekkie out?

I took my sister and her family to a Middle Eastern Restaurant. We had cheese pastries, pides and HSPs. Meh? So much for healthy eating! Let's just say, the next public holiday is in a while so today is the last treat for a few months yet.

Is Pix with you now? Or still with your mum?

Re: I can’t cope

I did go out for brekkie @tyme. I sat on my own outside in the courtyard. There was 4 others out there. I was going to sit inside but I saw a cousin in there. So I wasn’t as brave as I thought. But I still went in my own and did it! I had bacon, eggs, sausages, tomato and toast. I’m still full!

That was nice of you. I’ve never been to a Middle Eastern restaurant. It sounds interesting. Plus I’m sure you’re allowed a treat day! As long as you enjoyed it.

Pix will come home in about an hr. It’s weird being at home without her. I still leave the back door open for her! 😂 I’ve changed her diet too. She hated the food the specialist put her on and she hasn’t lost any weight. Now she is on food she loves and better for her.

I hope you had a nice day. Do you do anything else other than lunch?

Re: I can’t cope

That sounds like a nice brekkie @Captain24

So brave of you to go in there by yourself, well done.

Hi @tyme hope your day has gone well

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @Snowie. It wasn’t easy but if I want to get my social phobia under control I need to push myself. It’s one part of my recovery I feel I can work on.

How are you today?

This is the view from the road out of the little village. I couldn’t take photos of the actual village as everything had the name on it. Plus some people on here would probably have been there and it’s really recognisable! @tyme @Snowie
