I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

@Captain24 that's happened to me so many times. I'm sorry sweet, I know how frustrating it is. But it doesn't mean that you're useless or not good enough for the forums. You're a very valued member here sweetheart and I'm so grateful that you are here ❤️.

Re: I can’t cope

Sorry @MissGremlin Im not recovery focused right now so I’m not welcome. Forget all the hard work that I have put in, it doesn’t matter. It’s not noticed.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 even though it's hard to be recovery focused at the moment that doesn't erase all the hard work you've done nor is it not seen. I know things are feeling hopeless right now sweet but they won't feel like that forever. This is a bump in the road but it's another that we're going to find our way over, just like the many you've already overcome. I'm sorry that you're hurting so much sweetheart but I'm here and I care so much about you. I'm hoping you're able to hop into bed soon and get a good night's rest then we'll start again fresh tomorrow. Sending you so much love and hugs ❤️.

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @Captain24, I’m just catching up on posts and replies now 😊

I really hear what you’re saying about how deeply those thoughts have been part of your life, and I think it’s a big step that you’re starting to recognise the difference between that familiar comfort and what you actually need in those difficult moments. It sounds like talking things through here has helped you notice not only what you’re still working on, but also how much progress you’ve already made. That’s something to be really proud of

No bra absolutely counts as self care lol 😂

I hope you managed to get those extra hours of sleep too, sounds like your body was definitely asking for it! How are you today? 💛

How have you been the last few days? 💛

Also, Casper looked adorable in those pics. I bet he was nice and warm!

Re: I can’t cope

Hello @Nala2022, Casper loves dressing up 😂.

The last few days have been hard. I did the sleep study on Wednesday night, wearing all the wires, nasal cannula and oximeter was very uncomfortable and triggering so I didn't get much sleep. I started the medication my doctor gave me on Thursday night, I slept for just over 9 hours but then last night I couldn't get to sleep. I thought maybe the medication had helped but I think I was just completely exhausted after Thursday as it was a very big day and I'd been awake since 5am. My doctor is pretty certain that I have fibromyalgia which would explain alot of my symptoms, we're running through the official check list at the next appointment but the medication I've started is also used to treat it. So there's been lots happening here.

How are you doing sweet?

Re: I can’t cope

I can see that haha, he looked very happy with his outfit 😂

I’m sorry the last few days have been hard for you @MissGremlin. I can imagine wearing all of those things for the sleep study would have been really uncomfortable. Is that a one time thing, or will you have to do it again down the track? I hope the medication helps too. Sometimes it can take a little while to notice a difference, so hopefully with each appointment and as time goes on, you’ll start to feel some improvement

I’m doing well, thank you. I’ve started reading again at night, which has been helping me wind down a bit earlier. I’m feeling more rested today 😊

TRIGGER WARNING ED

Hey @Nala2022

Sorry but I’m not feeling it at the moment.

I had a phone appointment with my GP last night and hung up in tears. I rang my mum and talked to her for an hour in tears! I don’t cry in front of my mum.

Content/Trigger warning: ED
I have fatty liver, high cholesterol and sleep apnea. His response was to lose weight and it’ll fix it all. The psych meds I’m on make that so much harder. Losing weight won’t fix my sleep problems right now though. He she he has mild sleep apnea and it’s fine. I said what about stopping breathing for over 60 seconds. His response was lose weight. I just cried and he told me to not let it affect me and just do it.

He told me to cut out carbs and eat 2 meals a day within 6 hours and nothing else. That has all triggered my eating disorder.

Im crying just typing this.

My mum suggested that I go back to the chemist that did my sleep study and see what they think as when the gave me my results they said i needed a CPAP machine. They are really expensive. Also my GP suggest weight loss injections. They are also expensive. So I want to talk to them about how they work and if they interact with my meds. Also if there is any supplements to take just to boost it.

My mum wants me to see a dietitian and I told her I have one but I stopped seeing her with all of Pix’s expenses. Mum said she would pay but I’ll cover it.

I think I might take mum with me to the chemist appointment hopefully I can get one on Monday. She’ll remember stuff and will help. Sometimes she is a really good mum.

This has all left me feeling at and lazy. I know I am big to have it basically said hurts so much more. This mess that is my health has really brought me undone.

I’ve had breakfast and opened up the house. I don’t want to have a shower which is a warning sign. I dont want to do anything.

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 he honestly makes me laugh, he's got so much personality. His grunts when I first come home after being out are hilarious, it's like he can't contain his excitement so he grunts with a toy in his mouth and his but and tail go a million miles an hour 😂.

I'll have to do a big sleep study at some stage down the track but need to get the results from this one first which can take about 4 weeks. The medication should have helped instantly with sleep but for other symptoms it will take time, I've only started on one tablet but after a few days I can go up to 2 and we can increase from there a bit too. I'm feeling so nauseous today though which is making me anxious, last night before I went to sleep i had one of those horrible burps where a bit of sick comes up, I started panicking cos I thought I was going to be sick. I know the medication can cause nausea so I'm hoping it's that, I also drank alot yesterday (not alcohol, that i don't drink 😂) cos I was so thirsty, another side effect of the meds. I've just made a cuppa and sat back in bed after feeding Casper and taking him out to the toilet.

I'm glad you're doing well sweet, reading again at night sounds wonderful and I'm glad it's helping to wind down a bit earlier ☺️.
