Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

I'm really hoping that you're able to get enough rest before the service this afternoon and then work. Thinking of you and sending lots of love and hugs sweetheart ❤️.

Re: I can’t cope

I got up early and went to the service. I’m glad I did. It’s the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. One of dad’s brothers was there as well. They both went up a laid a wreath for their brother. @MissGremlin

I really wish I could share a photo of my uncle. While i didn’t get to meet him. He paid the ultimate sacrifice 9 years before i was born, he is my hero.

@Captain24 that sounds so special, I'm really glad that you were able to go.

Your uncle is an amazing man for all he did and even though you never got to meet him he'll always hold a special place in your heart ❤️

Re: I can’t cope

You know when they say if you could meet anyone in heaven, famous or whoever, I would chose him! It’s a no brainer for me. The family, his cousins included she he was a wonderful guy. My dad looks like him. He is a massive part of our family and has never been forgotten. Never been brushed under the carpet. All my cousins know about him and talk about him even though we never met him. Days like today make me proud but also sad for what my grandparents, his 9 remaining siblings and all 19 of us missed out on. @MissGremlin I do like talking about him as I am very proud. If I had the time I would put a post up but sadly I don’t.

@Captain24 I'm so glad that everyone keeps his memory alive. I can hear how much he and your grandparents mean to you sweet, it's so humbling to hear you talk about them. Sending you lots of love and hugs sweetheart ❤️

Re: I can’t cope

Dad’s family is really big on family connections. I actually know most of his cousins and they know me. Also some of us next generation know each other. It’s really nice. We occasionally have family reunions that I organise. Sometimes dad’s cousins come to visit as they live in Sydney and I go to dinner with them all. It’s an open invitation to all of us here in town. @MissGremlin Im really family orientated

Re: I can’t cope

Sorry I know that’s hard to hear under your circumstances @MissGremlin Mums side is a lot different though. There’s funerals of two of her brothers that there is NO way I’m going to!

Im about to head into work for my last shift. It’s going to be hard as I got up an hour earlier! But if it’s anything like last night it should be ok. Then I’m around for you for the next 5 days and my customer diamond arts are due tomorrow plus I should finish the one I’m doing tomorrow!

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 whilst it's hard only cos I don't have it, I do love hearing about it and it makes me happy that you have those connections. I'm sorry that it's different on your mums side though, that must be hard.

I really hope your shift goes ok tonight sweet, I'll be thinking of you. That's so exciting that they will be coming tomorrow and finishing the other one, yay! I can't wait to be able to chat when you're off work, I truly look forward to it ☺️.

I sat in the sun for a little bit today, it felt ok but my mind was very busy so I couldn't fully enjoy it but I tried. Tomorrow I have a meeting with housing SA with my support worker, really hoping to get moved up to category 1.

Re: I can’t cope

I understand what you're saying @MissGremlin, it can be really hard to catch these feelings when everything becomes intensified so quickly.

Hmm... I wonder if there is one small action you could take towards noticing dysregulation early? Like coming back to your daily breathing that you mentioned? 💛

It's okay, we don't need to discard this plan right now. As long as you're safe, that's all I am concerned about. 🥰
