Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 I was not happy that they disturbed my moment of peace 😂.

In that moment though, things were quiet inside my head, like everything paused even if it was only briefly.

I can say enough how proud of you I am. @MissGremlin. I started with tiny little moments. It won’t fix everything but you got a moment.

Bugger about the sun. Mostly for the last 2 months or so it’s been sunny. Really unusual weather for this time of year. I think even though I love the heat the summer may get a bit hotter than last year. Really high bush fire weather. They are already putting out warnings around here to be fire prepared. But I also thrive in the heat and don’t in the cold. We think I have SAD. But since it hasn’t been overly cold and gloomy this winter it has t really effected me

You don’t have to apologise for wanting to talk about it @Captain24 You should be excited and proud of yourself! It’s really lovely seeing how much this change means to you, especially after everything you’ve been working through

And I’m glad that sharing a little of my own experience has helped you keep going when it feels hard. Sometimes knowing that it can get easier, even when you’re in the middle of the really difficult parts, can give us that little bit of hope to keep trying

I’m so happy to hear you’re feeling this good! You deserve to enjoy these moments and be proud of how far you’ve come 😊 💛

Re: I can’t cope

Thankyou @Captain24 sweet ❤️. It's nice to know that those moments can exist.

The gloomy weather is my kind of weather, I don't cope in the heat at all. That's a worry about the fire warnings but it's just a reminder to be prepared just in case. SAD can be hard so I'm glad that it hasn't affected you much being that it hasn't been overly cold and gloomy.

I don’t blame you 😂

But I’m really glad you got that little moment of peace @MissGremlin

I hope you get a few more of those moments today 😊

Re: I can’t cope

I e been fighting this battle most of my life but the major crash was about 5 years ago. I hit absolute complete rock bottom. I havent really had many good moments in that time. I have had a week here and there where I have felt ok and like ‘I’ve got this’ then it would hit again. This one feels very different.

Just earlier this year my psychiatrist, my psych and my GP all wanted me in hospital. My psychiatrist even rang to check in and was making sure I had weekly appointments with my GP and they were communicating with each other each week. I was on suicide watch. I think I was really close to being involuntarily admitted. But the fact that I work and have to dogs that can no longer have a house sitter since Pix’s diabetes helped save me just.

This is why it’s such a massive shock and I’m so excited about it. I even keep watching myself for mania but it’s not that either. I’m still sleeping, I’m not rapid talking, I’m not driving faster than usual. I’m not getting agitated with others. I don’t have extreme energy. I don’t get angry easily, so it’s not mania!

They do occasionally. @MissGremlin

Does me talking about how I’m feeling make things hard or does it help knowing that if I can do it maybe you can to?

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 that's something I've been trying to work out how to put into words. Hearing about it from you helps to give me that glimmer of hope that it can happen for me too.

Re: I can’t cope

I’m so glad @MissGremlin. I have noticed that you are finding little things and getting little things done. There is a glimmer of hope. I know it’s cliche but it really could happen to you if I can happen to me. It was just like a snap though. I really hope you can.

Having had to hear all about my darkest moments and you have been there every step of the way with me. You have no idea how much you have helped. You are a part of this too. You have seen the worst of me and now the best. It is possible. It is a hard slog though and I can help you anyway I can. But your life is a hard slog now anyway.
