Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

The clearance letter was really easy @tyme The Dr had no concerns but she wanted to check with me first. She did put in it that it was crucial to my recovery to work!

I think I understand the equilibrium thing. I think it’s overanalysing what mood I’m in when I’m feeling good. Obviously if I’m feeling low I’m low. But I overthink the feeling good. Am I just good or is it the start of a hypo?

Precisely @Captain24 , so it's the over analysing that may be detrimental in the long run. Rather, just let the emotions run as they are. Allow them to come and go.

As for the clearance letter, I thought it would be easy. So true. Work for me also played a crucial part in my recovery!

Re: I can’t cope

I think I get it @tyme. There so much to know and learn! Sometimes I wonder if I’m ever going to be able to take it all in.

My GP is awesome! The letter is really good that she wrote. Now I have to wait and see if they accept it and find out what happens after that.

We are having a massive storm. Pixie is terrified. So much lightning isn’t good right now as everything is so dry. There is a fire that has just started 2kms from me! There is heavy rain as well it’ll help the firies but not stop the fires from starting! There has been so many strikes that there won’t be enough services to cover them all!

Im heading off to the chat. Talk to you after

Oh my! @Captain24 .

Please take care - and DO NOT drive through floodwaters!

It's so strange that we are in the same country but it's so sunny and hot here in Melb.

When I had dogs, one was petrified of thunder. In order to desensitise him, every time there was thunder, we'd put the TV right up, play games with him, and give him treats. Slowly, he associated thunder with fun and was no longer scared. The transformation was incredible.

Hope Pix will be okay.

Sorry I was on the chat @tyme.

Definitely no more driving through flood waters! That scared me way to much.

I can’t put the tv on for Pix. We have to sit here in the dark. She is getting better with the regular storms but this one was pretty bad. It’s started several fires. One lightning strike was really close. I heard it and felt it hit the ground. It shook the windows!

Re: I can’t cope

I'm glad you were able to go onto the chat. @Captain24 . I'll be on next week's one. I hope to see you there next week too!

As for the lightning...that sounds soooo scary! Fires too! Is it because of the area you are that you get lightning strikes more?

Fingers crossed nothing happens.

Re: I can’t cope

Hopefully I’ll be at work next week @tyme so I won’t be able to.

It was just a wild storm. I found it pretty awesome! But I love them. I thought it was over but it’s coming back again.

Our town is surrounded by paddocks and empty land. Plus we are a bushfire prone area. The fire that was 2 kms from my house is out but there is 4 others burning. I’m hoping the rain comes back to help put them out.

We had one super fire several years ago that started its own storm cell within the fire. It created its own lightning! That was pretty scary.

I have an achievement!!!! I have organised with a friend to go to lunch tomorrow! We have caught up in a really long time, maybe 12 months or more. She has no idea of what I’ve been through and still going through in the last 7 months!

Re: I can’t cope

Woohooo @Captain24 - that IS an achievement! I'll wait to hear how you go with it.

Are you going anywhere special for lunch?

Re: I can’t cope

Just one of the local coffee shops. @tyme. She’s one of those friends that you’ve been friends with forever but don’t always she each other. But will always be there for each other if you need.

Im pretty proud of myself. I can’t seem to beat this bipolar crap but my anxiety is settling down and I’m going to beat this social phobia stuff one step at a time. I have determination!

Anyhow enough about me. What plans do you have for tomorrow?

Re: I can’t cope

Hehehe! I know you can do it @Captain24 ! Are you going to take Pix with you?

With me tomorrow, I have eventually called in a gardener to do my weeding for me. Woohoo! I was getting so down about how neglected the garden looked. So that is exciting... and best thing, I don't even have to be there! I just pay them lol.

So tomorrow morning, I'm going out in the morning, then checking in to see how the gardener is going. Then, I might jump in the pool again, before working on the Guided Service in the evening. So that's my day planned out 🙂 I'll have to take a photo of the garden once it's sorted!

I'd be interested to see your garden one day 🙂
