Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Glad you got your fit for work letter @Captain24 hopefully back to work for you soon!

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @Former-Member @amber22 @Bow. I was confident in getting the letter.

The GP did make sure that I felt ok at work and wasn’t a safety risk. I just have to wait and see if HR accepts it. Once they accept it, they then have to discuss it and see if it’s ok for me to return to work.

So I’ve only jumped through one hoop so far. I still have several to go. But it is a start.

I’m just sitting at the hospital waiting on my nurse appointment. Maybe I’ll leave the rest of the sorting until tomorrow @amber22.

What do I you all have planned for this afternoon?

Yay so happy about your letter!! @Captain24

Good idea to leave the sorting until tomorrow, try take it easy today after your appointment.

My afternoon is just filled with work, I might try go for a nice walk in my break as the weather is very nice where I am today 🙂

Hello hello @Captain24 ! How are you?

Thanks @amber22 @Snowie..

Still more hoops but at least I’ve jumped through one!

My appointment with my nurse was very draining. But she doesn’t think I’m elevated. She thinks this is the real me shining through! I do hope she is right. We have been able to come up with some better mood plotting strategies and I have to stop overthinking what my moods are. It makes sense but it is so hard to know what is what but that’s what I have to work on.

Good afternoon @tyme

How are you and how has your day been?

Im pretty good today, thanks for asking. Apparently I’m currently the real me not in an elevated me.

Re: I can’t cope

Very interesting about what the nurse said regarding the 'elevated' mood @Captain24 .

How do you feel about it?

In terms of my day, I took the kids to the library today. They did a few activities, and then I came home and jumped in the pool. I played a game with my niece and threw all the dive toys into the pool. We had competitions to get them. Once we got them, my nephew threw them back into the water. It was hard work! I was so puffed out! It was soooo much fun!

I really enjoyed the pool so much today.

Oh how I love water games @tyme. I don’t think there is anything better than being in the water. Plus it’s such good exercise without even noticing!

I actually feel ok about it actually. I asked if I wasn’t elevated what was it. She thinks it’s who I am but the energy was nervous/anxious energy with having to get the clearance letter today as it’s the start of all the hoops I have to jump through. I don’t know if I’m making any sense.

Apparently when you’re elevated they can pick up the vibe and I don’t have the vibe. She said I need to monitor my moods but not overanalyse it. Other than the breakdown at work and the catastrophic response to being stood down, I realise I haven’t really been to bad.

Re: I can’t cope

Totally makes sense @Captain24 - so it is about recognising shifts in mood, then working to bring yourself to back to equilibrium rather that overanalysing how you got to that mood.

Do you think so?

Your last post absolutely made sense.

Was the clearance letter relatively easy to get?
