Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Very good @MissGremlin. I'm glad you managed to get up, feed Casper and make yourself a cuppa. I hope you can enjoy it and have a gentle start to your day

I can only imagine how exhausting that cycle must be, being so tired but also feeling scared to sleep because of what might happen. That sounds like such a hard thing to sit with.

Exactly, sometimes when we're stuck in the darkness, those lighter moments can feel so far away, so having others remind us of them can be really meaningful 🫶

Oh, you should definitely try dumplings one day! They're hard to explain, but when they're done well they're so good, soft dough with a yummy filling inside 😋

Yum, bacon and egg muffins sound delicious! I love those too

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 my coffee seemed to disappear too quickly 😂.

It's hard cos its every single night, there's just no relief from it.

It definitely can be. My moments of joy are often very short lived, I can switch from feeling ok to not in a split second and there's no warning.

They sound very yummy but I'm not sure my sensory issues would agree with the textures 😂.

Bacon and egg muffins are yummy 😋.

Re: I can’t cope

I just walked the dogs. They took the lead and didn’t walk far. Next time I’ll take water with me as Pix got hot. But they enjoyed themselves and that’s all that matters. At least the stuck to streets that I know! There’s lots of new ones out here I discovered. @Nala2022 @MissGremlin

I dont feel any better for doing it though. My head hurts a lot. I did take pain relief but it didn’t work. Maybe I need to take more.

I think it’s going to be a long hard day and I just don’t want to face it. But I am going to try and clean. This house needs a lot of work and it’s getting me down too. Maybe cleaning it up will lift me a little. I just don’t know where to find the energy or motivation from. I don’t want to do it but it has to be done.

At least my dogs are happy and Pix is fairly good. Still a little bit flat though. At least I know she will be ok. I’m learning to understand her cues with this health battle.

I hope you are both as good as you can be.

Re: I can’t cope

Mine too 😂 Especially if it’s a mocha, I love the coffee and chocolate combo together 😋

That sounds so exhausting @MissGremlin. Having it happen every single night without a break would take such a toll. I really hope you’re able to get some relief from the nightmares and that things start feeling a little more manageable soon

That must also be really hard when your mood can shift so quickly and without warning. It sounds like you’re having to navigate a lot from moment to moment

Haha, that’s okay! Sensory issues can definitely make some foods a no-go 😂 If you ever do try them one day, I’ll be curious to hear your verdict

And yes, bacon and egg muffins are always a winner! 😋

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 I'm so proud of you for taking the dogs for a walk, I'd imagine that took alot given how you're feeling sweet.

Sometimes it can take a couple of lots of pain relief (within the recommended dosage) to actually relieve headaches. I find that most of the time the only thing that gets rid of my headaches is if I can sleep.

Maybe start with something small, like even washing a couple of dishes or putting a few things away etc. Sometimes just making a small start then helps to do more from there.

I'm so glad Pix has got you, you're in incredible fur mum to her and always make sure she's ok and Jett of course too.

Know that I'm here for you sweet, we will get through the day together even if it's going to be a long, hard day. Sending lots of love and hugs to you ❤️.

Re: I can’t cope

I'm glad they had a nice time @Captain24

I’m sorry your head is still hurting and that the pain relief hasn’t helped much. I hope it eases soon

I can understand why the house feeling like a big task would feel overwhelming too. Maybe try not to put too much pressure on yourself to do everything at once, sometimes even just one small thing can be enough for the day

I’m glad Pix and the dogs are giving you some company and that you’re learning her cues through everything she’s going through. That bond and understanding is really special

I hope the rest of today feels a little gentler for you

I'm doing well thank you 💛

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 I had a French vanilla latte, I was going to dip a freddo frog in it but I drank it too fast 😂.

I very much live moment to moment which gets incredibly exhausting. Like right now when those thoughts/urges are as intense as they are it feels like I'm going second by second. If I try to look too far ahead I find myself thinking too much about plans so it's trying to bring things back to the basics, just the next breath, the next little step (I'm safe). Which right now is going to be me getting up and having a shower to see if I can get things to settle a bit.

If I ever try them I'll definitely let you know. But don't hold your breath, I'm not great at trying new things 😂.

Re: I can’t cope

That sounds yummy @MissGremlin! 😋

I can understand that, especially when things feel so intense. Having to focus on just the next breath or the next small step can be incredibly exhausting, but I think it’s really positive that you’re recognising what you need in those moments and bringing yourself back to what’s right in front of you.

I hope the shower helps you feel a little more settled. Be gentle with yourself today and just take it one small step at a time

Hahaha that’s okay lovely 😂 no pressure!

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 the shower was nice but hasn't brought things down like i hoped it would (I'm safe for now). Feeling rather giddy after it so just sitting on my bed waiting for that to pass so that I can move to the loungeroom and see if I can do my diamond art. Might even see if I can manage to make bacon and egg muffins soon. Need to take pain relief and an anti nausea tablet, I was trying to go without them but not today. It's silly cos sometimes they're not even needed it's just habit/routine and if i don't then my anxiety gets the better of me.

Taking today one small step at a time is definitely going to be the way to go. See what i mean by the shift though, one minute I was ok the next I wasn't, it's frustrating cos nothing changed it just happens.
