Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

@Captain24 I'm really sorry it feels that way, but know that I'm always here for you sweet.

I know that feeling all too well, though I'm really glad that you do exist sweetheart ❤️.

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 taking this over here, i just feel bad for clogging up captain's thread even though I know she's said she's ok with me posting here.

It's really hard not getting enough sleep, last night was a really crappy one for me, I had nightmares and panic attacks throughout the night so I woke up with my head pounding. Things are feeling really heavy today and I don't feel like I've got any strength in me to fight at the moment. The last few days feel like such a blur but now it's like everything is catching up to me, I feel like I'm being pulled under by a huge wave and I can't find the surface to catch my breath. I'm safe, laying in bed with Casper.

Re: I can’t cope

I'm really sorry to hear that @MissGremlin. I know how frightening and overwhelming nightmares and panic attacks can be

When you've been fighting for so long, it's understandable to reach a point where you just feel completely exhausted

I'm glad you've got Casper there to snuggle up with. I hope he's able to bring you a little bit of comfort right now

Be gentle with yourself today and just take things one moment at a time. We're here for you. 💛

Re: I can’t cope

Thankyou @Nala2022 ❤️.

It's hard to even think how I'll get through the day at the moment. I want to have a shower and I need to go to the shops but those little tasks feel impossible right now.

My brain feels like it's just turned to mush and words are hard to find. I'm just going to go (I'm safe).

I hope your headache goes away sweet and that you can have a relaxing day.

Re: I can’t cope

I understand @MissGremlin. When you’re feeling this overwhelmed and exhausted, even the smallest tasks can feel impossible

Sometimes it can help to just focus on the very next tiny step, whether that’s sitting up, putting your feet on the floor, or having a sip of water. Those little steps still count

And if today ends up being a slower day, that’s okay too. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself, if the shops feel like too much, they can wait

Thank you lovely, my headache is slowly starting to ease which is nice. I hope you can be gentle with yourself today 💛

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 I managed to have a shower but now I'm sitting on my bed trying to not be sick, I got very giddy in the shower and came close to passing out. It's even worse as I haven't had an anti nausea tablet being that I haven't had a cuppa today. My anxiety is really high at the moment and I'm struggling to settle. I'm so scared to actually be sick, having emetophobia really sucks.

I'm safe, sitting here with Casper. Trying hard to remind myself that the feeling is only there cos I got giddy.

Re: I can’t cope

You should be proud of yourself for taking that step @MissGremlin. Having a shower might seem like a small thing, but I know when you’re feeling this overwhelmed it can take a lot of effort

Oh no, that would have been really scary, especially with emetophobia making those sensations feel even more intense. I’m glad you’re sitting down with Casper and reminding yourself that the feeling came on after getting giddy in the shower

If you can, try taking some slow breaths and gently reminding yourself that the feeling will pass. You’re doing a really good job of getting through this moment, even though it feels really scary 💛

Re: I can’t cope

@Nala2022 it took alot but I'm glad that I did it.

I've been able to get dressed and I took an anti nausea tablet aswell as pain relief to hopefully ease the headache. I still need to do my hair but I'm letting things settle in between doing each step. Once I've done my hair I need to head to the shops unfortunately I'm out of essentials so don't have a choice otherwise I won't even be able to have an iced coffee later.

Thankyou for the kind words and support ❤️.

Re: I can’t cope

Look at you go @MissGremlin. You’ve taken so many little steps while feeling really uncomfortable, and that’s definitely something to be proud of

Take your time getting ready and heading to the shops, there’s no need to rush. Hopefully once you’re done, you can come home and enjoy that iced coffee as a little reward. It sounds delicious! 😊

You’re very welcome. I’m glad you reached out, and we’re always here to support you
