I can’t cope

There's a grounding exercise that i find helps me sometimes, it's the 3,3,3 one. There's the 5,4,3,2,1 one aswell but I get triggered by taste and smell so don't use it myself.

I know the 5 senses one and didn’t even think of it. Sometimes I find a lot of pressure

in that one but I really like this 3 one. I haven’t heard of it before.

@Captain24 it's hard to think in the moment of when it's happening. It takes practice but the more you do it the more it can help to bring things back down to a manageable point. Sending lots of love and hugs sweetheart, i hope tonight goes ok for you. I'll be thinking of you ❤️

It went ok. My anxiety wasn’t as bad. Still high but manageable. I did do the three things. What I could hear was hard as it’s just the truck, 2way and am/fm radio! But during the night I tried to notice for different noise that I didn’t think about. Like the dirt going in the tub. @MissGremlin

I am really really tired. I nearly feel asleep when I had the first break at 12:45. I wasn’t even halfway through my shift. I had to ring mum in my way home as I wasn’t sure I wouldn’t fall asleep. I’m going to have some breakfast and then give the dogs theirs and go straight to bed. I’m not sure what time I will be up.

I hope your nights have been manageable. I’m thinking of you and will talk sometime.

I have only just woken up. I slept pretty well. Mum and dad just called in to drop some ice cream in and it was lucky I was awake as I wouldn’t have heard them.

Still feeling really tired but at least I know I can go back to bed soon like a normal person.

Now to try and function for a couple of hours. I’m just not sure how. I just want to sit on the lounge and do and be nothing. I was hoping my mood would lift a little knowing I wasn’t working tonight.

Hello @Captain24 sweet, I'm glad you slept pretty well but I'm sorry to hear that your mood hasn't lifted. It's good that bedtime isn't too far away, I'm definitely counting down the hours.

My day has been pretty rough and I've got lots of big thoughts/feelings at the moment. I'm safe, currently cooking dinner.

What’s for dinner? I don’t have anything planned. I do better for work than days off. It’ll just be pasta and cheese or something. I do have ice cream for dessert though. An ice cream van that I love came to town yesterday so mum and dad got me one and dropped it in this afternoon. So it’s something to look forward too.
