I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

So you still haven’t told her? @tyme. Poor thing being strung along! It must be fun to have some payback though!

Depends on how bad it is and whether you will get enough extra rent to cover the costs.

It is really hard but it’s worth it to see how good she is getting, well sort of. I was mowing the back lawn yesterday and there is a couple of holes that have been dug. Jett isn’t the digger out of the two! I also went into the ensuite the other day and the toilet brush was in the middle of the floor. Jett was with me! No more blaming him for everything. 😂

Hows the littlest going, has she settled down from her tantrums now she is at school or does she still have them? Is your eldest being nicer or still the same?

@Captain24 I'm sorry I haven't been around today. I'm not well and have things going on here (I'm safe). I'm sitting with you though sweetheart and sending hugs ❤️.

I can hear that things are tough tonight, which must feel like a lot to hold... I completely hear you on the self-care side of things feeling exhausting... I wonder what would happen if you allowed yourself to feel what you're feeling/be exactly where you're at, without needing to change that right now? @Captain24 💛

It’s all good @MissGremlin. I was assuming things were a bit busy/difficult your side! You do what you gotta do.

I wasn’t around much anyway. Spent a lot of time in bed.

Im thinking if you too.

Hey @AuntGlow

It does feel a lot. I think I’m towards the end of my Covid. My head hasn’t been pounding as much in between cold and flu tablets.

I am trying so hard with the self care stuff and I’m just exhausted. Is this normal? Shouldn’t I be able to function doing it?

I actually just feel like sitting on the couch staring at the blank wall and just letting it all sit. Not trying to look after myself, not trying to distract myself just let it hover with me.

Re: I can’t cope

It's so tough to feel our fullest mentally or physically when we are unwell, so maybe sitting with the knowledge that this feeling isn't forever could be helpful? @Captain24

(Although, I know it's much easier said than done).

It's absolutely normal!! We are humans, and it's okay that we aren't able to show up in the same way every day, so welcoming this in can be really helpful and actually allow it to shift - the letting it sit and hover is a fabulous idea.

Can we do that together? I will be holding space from the other side! 🥰

I felt like I was falling before I got Covid @AuntGlow. I’m guessing being sick probably isn’t helping.

So it’s ok that things are just not working and I’m allowed to just sit? I just had some dinner and sat in the lounge to eat it and now I just don’t want to get up. I do think this is the place I’m meant to be. I feel guilty that I’m not doing anything to help myself?

Re: I can’t cope

What I am hearing is that your body knows what it needs, but your mind is challenging that a bit - which absolutely happens when we have some tougher core beliefs to wrangle with (mine does the same!), and it can be really challenging when we know what might be helpful, but our brain really wants to keep us in the familiar pattern. I wonder if acknowledging that there is guilt there and that it's a familiar thought pattern, but then also gently redirecting to that space of allowance and compassion could be helpful? It doesn't need to create a dramatic shift, and it's allowed to feel uncomfortable, but this is the process of rewiring and every tiny moment you give your other voices attention, they will feel even safer to be heard over time. Does that make sense? @Captain24 💛

Sorry @AuntGlow I fell asleep.

I actually don’t get it. Sorry. Are you saying the right thing is always the right thing?
