I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

@Captain24 I'm glad you've set a timer. It's great that you can ring mum if you get tired driving home. The sun coming up would be helpful too. Sitting and doing makes you get even more tired i find.

Well that's a bonus that it doesn't matter which one you pick. I've got about 15 to choose from and they are all ones I want to do just some more than others 😂. Can imagine it would be hard picking pictures for the custom ones but so far you've chosen amazing pics.

I’m so tired. I tried to have a sleep but the car wanted washing and so did a truck. I’m trying to use my jacket as a pillow. People won’t stop talking in the 2-way. It’s just too hard. My body is aching I’m that tired and I just got out to go to the toilet and my legs are weak. I still have 4 hours to go! @MissGremlin

Re: I can’t cope

I’m guessing you’re asleep by now. Well I’m hoping. We just had trivia and now there is only 3 hours to go. My eyes are sore. I must look like a wreck. I thought about cancelling the last 2 hours as they a voluntary but then that would mean driving home in the dark with all the headlights of the oncoming traffic and there is a lot. Plus the wet roads and the risk of aquaplaning again not being able to see because it’s dark and wet and the oncoming traffic blinds you. Plus the bright the lights coming at me the longer I close my eyes @MissGremlin.

Im really struggling with my thoughts. I am that tired that I have no control. They are so deep and dark. It’s very consuming. It’s like they have swallowed me up.

Hey @Captain24

I just wanted to jump in here really quickly to let you know that I hear how tired you are feeling, and that I'm sending strength your way to help you through these next couple of hours! Sitting with those deep, dark thoughts when we're already feeling so tired can be overwhelming, so if you are needing some extra support navigating this right now, you are always welcome to connect with a counsellor at Beyond Blue. You deserve this support, and sometimes, just having that safe one-on-one space to talk and be listened to can make a world of a difference.

I wonder what coping strategies have been helpful for you when you have felt this way before? Are there perhaps any you are able to lean into right now?

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @ShadowMod

Im actually at work sitting in a truck in a mine site. Im not meant to have my phone but I snuck it in tonight anyway as it’s been raining and I knew with my job I’d just be sitting here doing nothing for 12.5 hours.

I’ve been tired a lot recently but tonight I feel completely and utterly exhausted. I have a 40 minute drive home after this at 7:10 along a rural country road. At least it’ll be daylight.

I can’t contact anyone as I have limited service and would get caught on my phone anyway

When things get this dark and heavy with exhaustion I usually go to bed. But having to face it for so long before I can get into bed makes it feel even darker. Plus knowing that when I finish in just over an hour, I still have to then drive home. I aquaplaned on my way to work and it has been raining more since then. So I’ll need to find it somewhere inside of me to concentrate on my drive home.

I did just get out of the truck for 30 minutes and that was good but the second I sat back in it it all had come flooding back.

@Captain24 I'm here sweet. Take the trip home slowly. I'm glad you've finished work. I'll reply to your other posts later but wanted to let you know that I'm here with you ❤️.

I got home safely. The road wasn’t as wet so it was safer. I had to call mum though as I was struggling to stay awake. When I rang she said what and I just said I’m really really tired, so she has talked to me ever since. @MissGremlin

Ive had breakfast and about to get the dogs food ready. My body is aching and I am so tired. I can barely move.

Re: I can’t cope

Dogs are fed, I’ve had a shower and just climbed into bed. Both are in the bed with me. Bed is exactly what my body needed. It felt like a relief to get in @MissGremlin

Hopefully I sleep well and long. I’ll see you sometime this afternoon, the later the better. No offence

Thank you
