Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

We have days here where it can have a maximum of 5 or nights can be -7. It gets really cold!!!! @MissGremlin

I mention to mum that Oodie now has lounge suits. It’s an Oodie but in a jumper and pants. I told her that I want them but need to save as they aren’t cheap. I’m secretly hoping that she gets them for my birthday! Save on heating costs because I feel the cold really badly.

How long do they take to get here? I 100% get the anxiety! 😂 Hopefully they are here in time.

It is annoying but it’s something I have to do. If you are really sick how do you go out and get one? Work is ridiculous with stuff like this and permanent medications. I have to have a Pdoc letter accompanying any medication.

Iced coffee sounds good for you. I really can’t stand coffee even the smell of it!

I drink a lot of energy drinks but I’ve been trying to add soda water into the mix. I only drink hot chocolate occasionally and that’s the only hot drink I have. I will have it a lot more in winter though.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 that's definitely cold, it doesn't quite get that cold here but we do have days where there's a layer of frost on the grass and car windows.

Ooohhh the lounge suits from oodie look pretty comfy. That would be awesome if you got them for your birthday and would definitely help to keep warm on those cold days and nights.

It's about 7-10 days. This one I'll probably finish in the next couple of hours. Then I only have one but it is a 30×40cm one. The anxiety over it is ridiculous 😂.

When you're really sick you shouldn't be going anywhere and yet work requires you to have one, it's a bit silly really. Ugh having to have a letter from your Pdoc for any medications aswell must be annoying.

I can't drink normal coffee, the smell and taste is disgusting. But I like my sachets that I have.

I don't drink energy drinks, never have. Hot chocolates are yummy though especially with marshmallows on top of them 😋.

I put a towel on my windscreen when I’m on night shift. But the water spouts freeze and you can’t out water on the windscreen anyway as it just freezes. The frost gets that thick that you can even get a bucket of water as it freezes on top unless it’s like warm. Hot water cracks the windscreen. On my lawn I can have frost still on it mid way through the day! @MissGremlin. Then the summer was 40+ degrees a lot of days! Extreme weather out here.

I’ll see what happens. There is a couple of things I need so I’ll see what she gets. It’s a month away anyway.

It is ridiculous, I have a meltdown! 😂. Hopefully the next one keeps you going long enough. I’m going to order more when I start my last one this time. But I do have the Temu ones here to do if necessary. I now have a backup plan!

I only started drinking them when I started at the mine. It’s suppose to help keep you awak. Problem is with adhd caffeine has no effect on me! I got addicted and even if I get up in the middle of the night for a drink it’s an energy drink and then I go back to sleep!

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 that's definitely extreme with the weather. We had alot of 40⁰ days here in summer but don't get the freezing temperatures where i am.

Oohhh your birthday is coming up ☺️.

Can relate to the meltdowns 😂. I think I'll have to pace myself with the next one. Though I could always do some colouring if I do finish it before the others arrive. Definitely a good idea to have a backup plan, I still have other diamond arts to do, they are just little ones from the reject shop.

Yeah coffee has no effect on me either in fact if anything I find it makes me sleepy 😂.

I just got triggered on another thread about a sensitive subject to me. I'm safe but it just hurt.

Re: I can’t cope

At least you have colouring for back up. I didn’t really have much that I could do without thinking or making a mess when I knew they wouldn’t be too far away. @MissGremlin

That’s funny. Everyone survives on coffee especially on night shifts at work. I wish I had something to boost me, I needed it this morning but nothing does. I guess you are the same. We are very similar in a lot of things.

I just went stalking. I can see why that hurt. Not having that yourself would be so hard and to hear that others do. I get it a little bit but nowhere near what you do. I’m here if you want to talk about it or I can just sit with you.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 the colouring is good to have there but it's not as nice as doing diamond art. Also cos its been a while since I've done colouring it hurts my hand. It's hard finding activities that are relaxing and enough to get lost in to keep the thoughts at bay.

We are similar in alot of things. People often say 'you shouldn't drink coffee before bed' I'm like it makes me sleepy if anything. Then I also get the 'don't go on your phone at bedtime', again my phone actually helps to make me tired and I only go on my phone after I've tried other things but can't get back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night.

Yes it's hard not having it myself especially when I used to. It makes me teary that things are like this between us now. I also know that i have an inspection coming up, just waiting for the email but the thought of trying to do everything myself is too much, it's why I cancelled my last inspection cos I just couldn't cope. It might sound silly but there's a couple of areas in my house that when I look at them and think about cleaning them I go straight to dark thoughts to the point I want to act on them so I have to just leave it (I'm safe). It's like they are just too overwhelming and I don't know where to start.

Re: I can’t cope

You are really good at colouring, you have an eye for the colours. @MissGremlin. I do get that it’s not the same though.

If I’m reading articles on my phone or on here it puts me back to sleep. Doom scrolling doesn’t really help though.

I can imagine it’s upsetting especially if you use to have it. My mum is good and helpful but I don’t have that ‘best friends’ connection with her. There is a lot I can’t talk about or admit to. My life is pretty secret from her. The shame, disappointment and the hurtful comments are why I keep everything to myself.

Can I help you in anyway with those rooms?

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 thankyou sweet. Colouring used to be everything but then something happened and it became a trigger but I can at least do a bit of it again now.

It doesn't matter what I'm doing on my phone, watching my TV show, listening to music, random videos, it all makes me sleepy.

There's always been things I've had to keep from mum for many reasons. But we used to be close and see each other every day and have dinner almost every night together. Can understand why you keep things to yourself but I'm glad you do still have a connection with her.

Unfortunately in order to do that room I need someone physically here and being that I don't cope with having people in my house it makes things hard. My friend was helping me but then she started working and had bubs. Maybe one day I'll be able to work through it but I really don't know.

Re: I can’t cope

I’m glad you are slowly coming back to it. We definitely need different simple things. @MissGremlin

I can imagine that that hurts so much. I’ll stop talking about it now but if you ever want to bring it up feel free to do so. I’m here for it.

That makes it hard. Needing someone but not wanting someone. Especially if it’s triggering.

I went to the chemist to get my certificate. I usually just call into any of them but this time I went to mine. She didn’t question me at all as to why I wasn’t at work. Usually they want a reason. I think she just knew. It was good.

The guy next door keeps revving his motorbike and riding it flat out up and down the street. He has no helmet and it’s not registered! It is driving me crazy and as we know I’m already crazy!

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 sorry sweet. I got a bit too overwhelmed and had to step back. I just finished my diamond art which I'll share after I've replied to you here. Also know it's not chatting to you that overwhelmed me, it's just my brain 😂.

It does make it hard cos I really want to be able to get it clean but those barriers make it challenging.

I'm glad you went to your chemist, it sounds like they know you pretty well. It can really help to have that without having to explain things to someone you don't know.

Oh that's sounds incredibly frustrating. We have ones around here that do it, they go up and down the street and it's so loud. It's completely unnecessary if you ask me.

Casper it's making me throw his squeaky ball.
