Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Oh he loves his carrots! @MissGremlin. Pix use to as well but not now. I don’t know what changed.

I just got into bed so if I stop replying it means I’ve done to sleep.

@Captain24 he does love his carrots. I guess just like us they can like foods but then go off of them aswell. Casper has never had a bone.

I'm glad you're in bed sweet and I'm hoping you can get a good night's rest.

Thankyou for chatting to me today, I enjoy our chats and it's so helpful to have connection ❤️

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks for helping me through the day. @MissGremlin. It’s getting harder and harder right now. I just want to curl up in a ball and cry. That won’t be happening though. I have no strength and no energy. My body is just weighed down. I can barely walk. It’s hard to breathe. I don’t have the energy for it.

Wow! @Captain24

My brain is in awe. Just the way you explain it, I'd love to work there lol.

So it closes in 6 years if they dont' have an extension? How long have you been there?

As the coming out of freeze, it sounds so hard. Are there safety plans and stuff in place if things go a bit haywire? Are you able to seek admission to hospital?

I found an example here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIqyfl96dZs

But does that mean there is a lot of coal there? Do they mine until there's none left? @Captain24

I'm so naive.

It’s in the high 20’s here as well. Just extremely cold overnight. @Jynx

I have a question for you. I live my psych appointments and get so much out of them and I love my psych, she is so amazing. Why do I almost always feel really rough after the appointment?

@Captain24 hmm... I mean I can only guess really because I'm not you, and only you are the expert on all things Captain. But if I were to hazard a guess, appointments where we are exposing our deepest vulnerabilities can often leave us feeling quite fragile. Recovery is hard work. This might be part of it - cos like, pulling up the weeds and tending to the mind-garden can be incredibly difficult, and even painful at times.

That said, maybe this is something to talk to your psych about too? Because it may depend on what this experience is like for you, i.e. exploring what 'rough' means to you, and whether it has negative impacts for you when you get home.

I think Brene Brown spoke about a concept called 'vulnerability hangover' which might be worth looking into... There's a ted talk she has here on vulnerability, might be worth a watch?

Re: I can’t cope

Yes the is a lot of coal that can’t be mined if they don’t get the extensions @tyme We have just 6 years left of coal. I have been there 8 years already. As that video says there is a massive domino effect for the community. My town would struggle as much as singleton.

If you came to visit I’d take you out for a drive around! 😜

There are safety plans and a lot of support in place. I can call my GP and he will fit me in. I have a Pdoc appointment coming up. Plus I’m thinking of making an extra psych appointment. Hospital admission is out of the question as I can’t have anyone look after Pix with her diabetes. Mum won’t take them for 3 weeks and the diabetes is a lot to put in them anyway.

Re: I can’t cope

I’ll watch that tomorrow as it’s a bit long for tonight @Jynx

Thank you. I like Brene Brown.

I might talk to her. I usually feel really down and out and I was wondering whether it was from dragging things up and being open and honest. I have heard of vulnerability hangover but I will watch that Ted talk.

How are you?

Re: I can’t cope

There is really anything anyone can do @MissGremlin. I just have to ride this wave out. It does t make it any easier though. Even with all the support around me.

I’ve been tossing and turning so I got up but now I’m awake but tired if that makes sense.
