Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks for the ideas @tyme. It gives me somewhere to start.

That sounds like fun with your nieces and nephews. Hungry hippos would be a good game! Anything to get of tech. They spend so much time on it these days.

Walks sound good.

Nothing planned. Just work and a psychiatrist appointment on Thursday.

Oh yes! thanks for reminding me! I have booked an appointment with my GP on Thursday to get a MH care plan review @Captain24 . Phew! I nearly forgot! Having so much fun playing games lol.

As for Hungry Hippos, they know how to play that already. Now the kids are a bit older, I can teach them brainier, problem solving games.

But first, I am still teaching my nephew to hold a hand of cards. Poor thing is 5 years old, but still in size 2 clothes. He struggles so much to hold a hand of cards. His hands are tiny!

Oh! I didn't realise the time! I'm hopping off now! See you later in the week!

That felt like a really long shift at work. It’s the longest I’ve been out of bed in about 6 days.

Re: I can’t cope

I’m now stressing! I have just pulled all my medication out. I’ve just realised that I have run out of one of my meds and can’t get anymore until Wednesday because of working out of town. If I miss one dose it sends me straight into a manic episode. HR had a meeting with me today about my MH and being unreliable. If I go manic a can’t work because I don’t think it’s safe to drive a 300 tonne dump truck!

@Captain24, that's understandably stressful!

Are there things you can do to try get through a those early stages before you can get your meds?

Or (and this might be a silly question) is there a hospital nearby you can collect emergency medication from?

I'm about to finish up, but I'll be around to chat tomorrow?

Actually I have a tablet to take if I start heading towards an elevation before the mania hits! Thank you @Former-Member You’re awesome!

No the ED here is pretty basic. I have ordered them through the chemist but I don’t think they will deliver without payment. They do know me pretty well now though

Re: I can’t cope

I just found out that this awesome older guy that I’ve known for 30 years died. He was one of those blokes that would stop and chat to everyone. I don’t think I’ve ever had a conversation with him under 10 mins. His wife would do all the shopping (All the shops are within 2 blocks) and he wouldn’t have gotten far from where she left him, he would be chatting to someone! He took the photos for my 21st and gave them all to me as a present. Those days it was film that had to be developed.

The funeral of the bloke that passed away is on a work day for me. The allocated leave for that day is full but my

boss is allowing me to take it anyway. I’m so relieved that I can attend.

Im still feeling pretty low but I have a psychiatrist appointment soon and I’m pretty anxious about it. My nurse won’t be there but the fill in one will be. My nurse usually helps prompt me and I’m comfortable with her.
