Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Hahaha! I still haven't finished the diamond art from years ago! Just like the course I started years ago. I'm setting a goal to finish it this year....*cough cough lol @Captain24

Seriously, laughter does good like medicine.

I have lots of laughs with people I know. It keeps me going.

Then my eldest niece makes me laugh so much too.

It's good.

I'm going on leave after Easter but I'll let you know just before. It's just a few days to take the kiddos camping.

Re: I can’t cope

At least I don’t have to feel bad about it taking me so long to get back doing it. I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it but it passed the time. @tyme.

That course! Is it even still valid?

It does when it’s meant not when it’s fake. I pretend to laugh at work but it’s just to join in and not look like I’m struggling. That’s hard.

Im glad you find laughter in your life. Especially with your niece. That would be so nice just to enjoy the moment and feel joy.

I’ll miss you! You guys live your camping but I guess it’s a good screen free escape and time to explore. Do you always go to the same place?

@Captain24 i can understand their worries about you working when things have been like they have. But it's good that you are having some time off now. The sleeping is very much a part of the freeze/shut-down state so hopefully as you start to come out of that things will get better though I know there's also scary moments coming out of it too. But we are in this together and you have the community here for support ❤️.

I gave up on waiting for them to dry and dried them myself and put them all back up 😂.

You've done so well to do some diamond art, the 40×30cm ones are a huge task. I'm currently doing one that size myself and I've only just done a row of 20 dots across the whole top section.

Awww she really sounds like she's doing so much better, I'm so glad to hear it.

I have a few plants in my garden but there's not many flowers around at the moment as the heat really took a toll on them. But now that we are getting a bit of rain hopefully things will start coming back.

Hello lovely! @Captain24

How are you feeling this week? I am sorry I wasn't around more last week, a few life things came up! But know that I was thinking of you.

How are your meds settling and how has self-care been feeling for you?

I am curious to know if you noticed any shifts or changes in your freeze state at all?

I hope Pix is feeling better too.

Looking forward to your updates. 🫶

Re: I can’t cope

I know I need to sleep less but I’m just so tired. But it isn’t as bad as it was last week at work though but I’m not working 12.5 hours and getting up at 4:30 so that makes a difference @MissGremlin

At least they are done now and you aren’t waiting to put them back up!

I just checked and it’s 40x50! I’ve done 23 rows across the bottom! A looong way to go! I’ve started on the next few rows now as well. I’ll try and do some more tomorrow. I feel like when I have done a whole section of rows it starts to get a little easier and less daunting. It will take a while for you to do but you do do a lot of it so it will be rewarding. What’s it a pic of?

A garden sounds nice but yea the weather hasn’t been really plant friendly this year. I don’t garden I just have garden beds out the front with one rose bush and a bunch of weeds! 😂. I’ll try and get more rose bushes next year and see if I can grow them.

We go to a different Big 4 each time. So we are going while the kids are young coz later, they won't like it. I'm sure they won't want to be jumping on jumping pillows when they are 16 lol... unless it's to be an idiot when they are in year 9 @Captain24

Lol. I have until the end of the year to complete the course, but I have to go into the city to complete the practical components. There are about 18 practical elements to the course which I have been putting off an dreading. The theory is not an issue.

When do you go pack to work?

And how is Pix?

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @AuntGlow

Its all good you weren’t around.

I had a really tough week last week. I struggles really badly at work with exhaustion and struggles to stay awake. My GP and psych wanted me to take this week off for safety but I had it off anyway for my surgery.

Im not sure how my meds are going. I think they are starting to kick in. I’ve felt a little more settled in the last 2 days. I have accepted that I’m in freeze and I’ve given up fighting it or trying hard to get out of it. If this is the best it gets then so be it. I’m sleeping a lot though and just sitting around mostly.

Pix is doing well. We are about to come to blows though as she is sitting outside barking non-stop! She has been more energetic and plays with Jett a lot. She is definitely a different dog.

If Pix is barking non stop, she must be well lol @Captain24

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 it's ok to let your body rest when it needs it sweet especially at the moment.

Wow 40×50 is huge, I don't have an area big enough to work on one that big 😂. Yes I find as you've done more it feels less daunting though still painstakingly slow 😂. The one I'm doing at the moment is a dragon.

I don't have the patience to maintain gardens and being out in the sun is too much for me but I do love having flowers around. Roses are beautiful and I have quite a few in my garden.

Re: I can’t cope

That makes sense. Are they all different? Do you just hang around the park or go exploring? @tyme How is your leave balance going? You must be getting it down?

The practical would scare me! I can see why you have been putting it off. Plus having to travel as well. Is it far to the city?

I go back to work Easter Monday. It’s the first time I have had Easter off for a while. So it’s nice. I’m cooking a baked lunch for mum and dad in the Sunday and mums making Good Friday nights dinner which I love. I’ll actually get to eat it hot and not cold!
