Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

@Captain24 that unresolved feeling is tough but once things are out then you can start working on healing.

Sitting outside is perfectly ok sweet, take some nice deep breaths and take in the fresh air.

I'm really not having a good day today but it's ok sweet, I'm here for you ❤️

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 so like being on the beach means you avoid having to traverse the congested area? Wow, she really is a good one, to wanna accommodate your needs in that way!

Aww maybe that's a good sign then, if she's got her playfulness back!! I hope so!

It was a really lovely weekend 😊 Here's a few pics, as promised!

Re: I can’t cope

I’m really lucky to have her @Jynx. I don’t know that many psychs would do that.

It means she’s getting back to her old self. Which is a good thing.

That place is beautiful. I’m glad it was a good weekend. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate that

@Captain24 it's ok sweetheart, you have nothing to apologise for and you are definitely not too much ❤️.

Your psych is an amazing support for you sweet and I can understand why she's concerned about your safety.

I know things are hard right now and they have been for a while, but no storm lasts forever. Things will get easier, maybe not immediately but with time they will. But we are here with you throughout this journey, every step of the way ❤️.

Sending you so much love and hugs sweet ❤️

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @MissGremlin

can you do me a favour and read your own words!

The hard thing is that this won’t last forever but it could take months, this is one of the worst though. It’s been a long time since it was this bad. But I’ll be back here again. The life of bipolar.

I have the same surgery that triggered it again in a couple of weeks. Not really looking forward to that.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 I wish more psychs did!! I have thought about how helpful it would be sometimes to do like a 'walk and talk' type of session. I think something about the gentle movement helps me to think and to process. I do understand that there is probably a bunch of liability stuff that maybe a lot of psychs want to avoid. But being able to do the healing work in environments that we can connect to - in nature, or in terms of our bodies - that is pretty helpful to my mind.

Very good to hear!! Aww she's so blessed to have such a caring person there to look out for her 💜

You're so welcome hun. I love the beach too, it's always good to be able to get back to nature hey.

Aww @MissGremlin you are so wonderfully kind, thank you for your words, as always 😊💜

Hugs to you both!

Im suppose to be compassionate to myself. How am I meant to show compassion when I just don’t want to live anymore. )I am safe. I don’t have the motivation or energy not to be) How can someone be compassionate to them selves when that is what they are thinking. I don’t deserve compassion when I have those thoughts.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 I can definitely read my own words but applying them to myself is another matter.

I hear you sweet and Bipolar is tricky. Yes it could take months and yes there's always that possibility of it happening again but each time you'll get through it and we'll always be here for you along the way ❤️.

I know the surgery coming up is a big thing for you but you're not going to be alone going through it ❤️

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 sweetheart i can relate to this feeling/thinking so much.

But the truth is that this is the time that being compassionate to yourself is the most important. You're hurting deeply because there's so much going on, life's thrown so much your way in a very short period of time and there's a point where it gets too heavy to carry and those thoughts become very loud. But in saying that those thoughts don't define you, yes they can be there but it's how we choose to sit with them that makes the difference.

When you struggle to be compassionate towards yourself that's when we come in to gently remind you to be kind to yourself and if you can't in that moment then we'll be kind and compassionate to you ❤️.
