Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

@Captain24 i need to take Casper to the vet but i can't, I physically don't have the money. He's got a massive ear infection, it's bright red and hot 😞.

That’s rough @MissGremlin. If Pix has to go mum is paying. Im really lucky.

Could you go to the chemist and see if they have anything? I know with eye drops for my mums last dog the vet recommended the human ones at the chemist.

Also could you clean with warm salty water and see if you can flush it?

Dr google may give you some ideas.

Re: I can’t cope

This is really horrible to say and I don’t mean it in a derogatory way but talking to you makes me realise how lucky I am and that I should be grateful and I am. @MissGremlin I do wish the same for you though.

While it doesn’t make any difference to my bad MH I’m just lucky I can afford the support… most of the time and when I can’t my psych helped me out. It gives me a better chance of getting well.

Im so sorry.

That sounds super stressful @MissGremlin

Could you contact an organisation such as RSPCA or a local shelter for some support? They often have programs that can assist. Or would a payment plan with the vet be an option?

Thinking of you 🌸

Re: I can’t cope

It sounds like you’re doing an amazing job looking after Pix, even though it’s so stressful! 😢

It must be really worrying to have to keep such a close eye on Pix and juggle all the appointments, but it’s clear she's in great hands with you, your parents, and her vets.

It’s great to hear her vets are supportive and are listening to Mum, that must feel reassuring.

I hope Pix stays stable today, and I’m sending lots of good thoughts to both of you as she goes through her tests. You’re doing such a loving and careful job caring for her. @Captain24

@TunedIn I'm sorry. I have to step away for a bit. I'm safe for now but I'm an absolute mess. The universe has really tested me one too many times and I feel so broken.

Re: I can’t cope

@MissGremlin I’m so sorry Casper is feeling so unwell! 😢 It's so stressful seeing our pets in pain and unwell. You’re clearly worried because you care so much about him, and that’s completely understandable.

Some vet clinic might be able to offer payment plans like @TunedIn mentioned. Sometimes they can help in urgent situations. I really hope Casper starts feeling better soon, sending lots of caring thoughts to both of you. ❤️

Re: I can’t cope

She is my lifeline @Nala2022. She is the only reason I am alive today as I just couldn’t break her heart.

I live in a small country town and we have been going to that vet practice for about 45 years! So they know us pretty well and we know when something isn’t right with our dogs and can give a detailed description. That’s how they picked up the pancreatitis and diabetes so quickly. It was the first things they checked for. While she was in there the first time they needed to do a different test and just did it without calling knowing that I would do anything for her!

Im hoping she stays well. She should, she is a tough little girl. She only got out of hospital on Tuesday so it’s not even a week yet.

I am so lucky that I have mum and dad and they are so caring for her too. Mum was devastated when we thought we were going to lose her. To come around to my house and just sit with her for what could be well over an hour is something most people don’t have. They think it’s better here for her as I have air conditioning and they don’t. They don’t want her to get hot.

Re: I can’t cope

It’s clear how much Pix means to you. She’s not just a beloved pet, but a true lifeline and strong protective factor, and it makes sense that you would do anything to protect her. 💜

You’re doing an amazing job caring for her, and it sounds like your mum, dad, and her vets are incredible supports too.

It must have been so stressful seeing her in the hospital, but it’s wonderful that her vets know her so well and caught things quickly. You’re clearly very attentive to her needs, and trusting your instincts with her care is such an important strength.

I really hope Pix continues to stay strong and recover quickly, she truly sounds like one tough little girl! You’re doing everything you can to help her, and that care really matters. @Captain24

Hey @MissGremlin I'm sorry to hear that poor Casper's unwell. I know how stressful going to the vet can be when you really can't afford it. I wanted to send through some resources I found that might be helpful: Vet Services & Resources – Animal Care Australia

Pet Medical Crisis - Apply for Help

I hope both you and Casper will get through this and be feeling better soon. I'll be thinking of both of you. 💗

@Captain24 it's really heartwarming to hear the amount of care and love little Pix is receiving from all sides right now. 💞 Is Jett taking is easy on her too?
