Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Oh.. you answered me again @MissGremlin. I’m so sorry you aren’t asleep. I am grateful for the response though. I really don’t know how you do it. I’m tired and I’ve only woken up twice, which is a lot for me.

The pain got me again. But now Pix has just vomited which is a concern. Hopefully it’s a one off, if she does it again she has to go to the vet. That stresses me a little, well a lot.

Pox did get move, she must have gotten hot but Jett never leaves me while I’m on the bed. Actually he very rarely leaves me at all!

@Captain24 i don't know how I'm still functioning, although I'm not really.

I'm sorry the pain woke you again. Oh poor Pix, hoping it's just a one off aswell. Can understand why it's stressful, there's been more than enough vet visits lately.

Casper gets hot and will move away for a bit but then come back and snuggle. He's currently laying across my feet.

Hope you can get a bit of rest even if it's just laying there with Pix and Jett. Hugs sweetheart ❤️.

Re: I can’t cope

Random question but have you tried the bulk-billing psychologists? I’m guessing there would be a waitlist but it would all be Telehealth. @MissGremlin. Something to get some help.

If only you could sleep things mighten feel so hard.

The feet thing annoys me! It’s so hard to move. Pix will not move when she is sleeping, Jett at least growls at me or sighs but moves over!

She has another vet trip on Wednesday, I don’t want to have to take her today as well. She hasn’t been out a week yet.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 i need to make phone calls to see if any of them can take me on. But I don't have the energy to be ringing around places at the moment.

Yes it can be hard when they don't move, Casper at least moves but then will usually come back.

Fingers crossed she doesn't need to go today.

Re: I can’t cope

That’s so hard that you need help but unable to do it because you need help. I hope that makes sense. It’s like a double edged sword. @MissGremlin. When I fired my last psych I didn’t know how I was going to get a new one. The wait list around here is so long and I was scared to start all over again. I’m just lucky that the allied health manager at hospital set me up with mine and I didn’t have to start from the beginning as she already new some stuff from being my facilitator and spending a little one on one time with me when I was struggling in there. I even told her that I was suicidal and had plans in place. So it was just so easy. She still doesn’t know some stuff about my past. I haven’t told her about my SA as I’m ashamed. But one day I will get there.

I just saw your post on your thread. (I’m not doing two conversations!) I’m sorry they were so dismissive. It seems like you can’t get help anywhere you turn. That must hurt a lot.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 makes perfect sense and yes it's definitely like a double edged sword. I'm so glad you were easily able to get your current psych, it's honestly how it should be. It shouldn't be so hard to get support.

Yeah let's not start the 2 conversations again 😂. It does hurt alot and that's how it feels, that no matter where I turn i can't get help.

Re: I can’t cope

If it wasn’t for my Pdoc in hospital making me fire my old psych, it’d still be with her and getting nowhere. I deposed going to her appointments. I couldn’t talk about anything without her sighing. Plus she was brutal and unsupportive. But if they hadn’t have organised one in hospital I probably wouldn’t have one now as I wouldn’t have been able to call around and find someone. I would never have thought of Telehealth. Also if my psych hadn’t have wanted me assessed for ADHD then I wouldn’t have a Pdoc either! @MissGremlin She sent me to the same place that she went for assessment.

Do you ring the same one all the time or do you go to other ones? I have one I prefer if I actually do ring and have found them helpful. I rang twice in one day and the second guy I got, I told him I had called earlier and that they said I was to call back and we did a grounding exercise together.

Pix is vomiting. She now needs to go back to the vet today. 😢. This is not good. Lucky I didn’t change my quilt cover last night. She just vomited on it too.

My poor baby.

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @Captain24,

Oh no, I’m so sorry Pix is unwell! 😢 It must be really worrying to see her vomiting like that.

You’re clearly doing everything you can to take care of her, and it’s completely understandable to feel stressed right now. I hope the vet is able to help her feel better quickly.

Sending lots of gentle thoughts to both of you - Nala2022

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @Nala2022 I rang the vet hospital and they got Pix’s vet straight away to talk to me.

The vet said to watch her closely and if she vomits again I have to take her straight in or if she doesn’t eat lunch. If her demeanour changes at all she has to go in! They are doing another test on Wednesday night for her pancreatitis and diabetes but if things go down hill today then they will bring it forward. She is so stressful. I have a GP appointment today and he is always running at least an hour late so mum and dad are coming around to watch her for me! I’m going to see my psych I person tomorrow and that’s 4 hours each way so mum will have her then too. Both Pix’s vets k is mum really well and will listen to what she has to say about what’s going on so that’s good. They have both been amazing. They both agreed to be her permanent vets.
