Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

@Captain24 that would have been hard being stood down but it's great that you found things to do during that time. I have the spare room and my shed although my shed is better than it used to be but I still have the ex's crap in my carport cos he's got nowhere to put it, he's not been living here for like 8 years now.

Hopefully a heat pack can provide some relief for you sweet. It's not nice being in pain when it's constant.

I bet it was awesome to do. Having a larger oven is good and a bonus for when it comes to doing Christmas lunch ☺️

The monkeys were at a Hill Station @Captain24 . They are everywhere. It is an old town where vehicles are not permitted so they can preserve the history of the place. So there are lots of tourists and there are daily monkey attacks. And yes, I was one of the victims!

I got stood down from work due to mental health for 4 weeks and needed stuff to do. So I went through my entire house. I did everything. @MissGremlin. I’ve kept most of it the same just with little bits here and there that need sorting.. oh and ‘that’ room. I actually have 2 of them but the other one isn’t as bad.

Ive put some gel on it but it’s not working either. I never thought of a heat pack! Thank you.

It is yummy but it was really awesome to do if all in my new house. When I was building I put in a larger oven as well for those occasions when I cook so there is plenty of room for Christmas lunch!

Wait wait wait... you are talking about the past, right? That you got stood down before? (Not at the moment, right?) @Captain24

Re: I can’t cope

I had an issue with my garage once, my uncle took off and went to Queensland when him and his wife split up. They left the house up to me and my grandparents to sort it out. Heaps of his stuff went into my garage. Then when he decided he only wanted some stuff that it was then up to me to get rid of it as I was moving and wasn’t taking it with me. It cause a massive fight as I got rid of stuff. The abuse I coped was terrible. No one will ever be storing stuff at my place again! @MissGremlin

What happens to it if you move?

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks for the validation @Captain24 . I have to be kind to myself. But yes, I've noticed I'm more foggy than usual.

I've got 9 things on my sticky note right now. I'll have more on it, but I've run out of room! I need more sticky notes, but don't want to overwhelm myself either. @Captain24

I was going to ask, how's Pix?

Re: I can’t cope

So at least they weren’t all over @tyme. It was sounding extra scary. Still scary that there is so many and so dangerous though but at least it wasn’t the whole trip. I guess the hospital is well equipped and doesn’t like tourists! 😂

Yeah. I’m talking about 4 years ago when they stood me down. I did my linen closet then and it still looks the same now!

Re: I can’t cope

You do need to be gentle. @tyme

With your list can you put it into priorities or time frames, different days and stuff? I find I write a big list at the start of my days off and then put them into smaller lists for each day. That way I get it all done but not overwhelmingly so. Just some each day.

Pix is doing really well. She has the sparkle back in her eyes. She is annoying me constantly for pats and is sitting waiting for me to give her something when I’m eating. She doesn’t get anything but she tries. It’s so good to see as she is returning to herself. I’m having troubles with her insulin though, she is still not accepting the needles. I’m hoping she will get use to it soon. She snapped at me tonight.

Re: I can’t cope

I'm glad Pix is returning to her old self. @Captain24 What a scary time it was for her - and everyone else!

I hope she wont need insulin forever. Do they have it in tablet form?

Can you gentle hold her muzzle a bit when you give her the injection? Or, can you help her associate needle with something nice after? That's how I trained one of my dogs. He was so scared of thunder and lightning so when the storm came, I'd play ball games with him... after a short time, he learnt to associated thunder with fun and was never scared again!

Re: I can’t cope

It has been a scary time and still is. We still have a lot to go through. @tyme It doesn’t come in tablet form but also the dosage willl continue to change until we know exactly what is going on. I have to hold the skin on the back of her neck and use the other hand to put the needle in. So I can’t hold her. She gets a special treat after. It’s a treat that she will only ever get after the needle. She comes running back to the kitchen after having the needle. I have to chase her for the needle.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 that sounds like such a horrible situation and I'm sorry that you had to go through that sweet.

Well see that's the problem I'm going to be homeless next month so the ex is going to have to sort something out.
