Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Due to few different things I’m no longer going to be on the forums each day.
please don’t let that stop you messaging me if you want to chat. I’m here for you @tyme

Take your time @Flutterbug9 . There is absolutely no pressure to log on when you don't feel up to it or when you can't.

We can check in whenever. As they call is, "Asynchronous" support 🙂

We're all here for each other @Flutterbug9 @Captain24 - thank you.

One thing…. At least he was honest about it @tyme Thats a big step.

It’d be a lot to process . Have you been through this with him before? Or was it all before your time?

Hopefully he can get the help he needs. Sooner rather than later.

Im glad the kid don’t know and haven’t picked up on anything.

I’m glad you feel under control with it all. That you know you will work through it. Just another learning curve!

I'm actually really okay with the situation. Not okay with what he has done, but totally at peace that things will be okay.

He had issues from his teens. I mentioned before that he turned to substances because of CSA. Then he was supposedly 'clean'... now I find out he hasn't been... but he's been desperate lately, and hence taking money.... so to name it, he's an addict.

@Captain24

As we like to put it, this is all a learning curve and I'm open to it.

Anyway, I'd better go, but please look after yourself. Will catch you next time.

Hey @Captain24 ,

Loved the 3rd bday dog photos 😍

My dogs liked their trip to the vets for their vax — they got pats and treats of course! lol

Re: I can’t cope

@tyme One branch of my family tree there is 5 siblings who grew up as a tight knit family, each being a trauma survivor, 2 having been diagnosed with MH condition/s.

hearing about what your sister is going through brought back memories of events in that branch of my tree that happened many yrs ago.

youngest are twins, one has a MH condition. all 5 were adults and had moved out of home. Twin with MH and his ptr had 3 children. Twin used to go one and off his meds believing he was better off “self medicating with alcohol “ which went on for quite some time.

for this twin it took his early teen age sons words and actions to break through to him.

mentioned above as I saw the impact on the 4 siblings, especially 2 of them. For them the impact was concerns. Concerns for their nephew and 2 nieces and the children’s mum.

thinking of you 💜🤗

You are doing well. I don’t think I could be as accepting @tyme

It’s got me thinking back a little… Is that why you had issues while away? He didn’t have anything with him? Is that why he is an inattentive parent?

For me it raises some questions. Not that it’s my life to question, I understand that.

This learning curve can just disappear! We don’t need it! 😜 Life should be smooth sailing for us for a while. We have been through enough.

You are dealing with this so well.

Im quite tired today. Pix stressed me with her needle. I actually got myself, it’s a little sore and it didn’t go fully in so I can see why she doesn’t like it.

I still have to go and mow mum and dad’s lawn. I really don’t want to bug they do so much for me and the guy next door has had a few brown snakes.

Maybe it’ll be an afternoon in bed if I can get it done this morning.

Re: I can’t cope

Just spoke to mum. I can’t mow the lawn as it’s too wet from that beautiful, much needed rain last night. So I’ve gone back to bed and I’m going around this afternoon. It’s suppose to be pretty hot so it’ll be exhausting. Lucky I like the heat.

I don’t like mowing lawns but it needs to be done and I’m 27 years younger than dad. Plus they do so much for me.

Hey @Captain24 ,

Do you always do your parents' lawn? I think it's the first time I heard about it.

As for my trip away... I really don't know... as I said, I had my suspicions because he disappeared from 7:30 am each morning, then in the arvo, he left at 4pm then didnt' come home until after midnight.

But as you said, he's admitted it which is a HUGE step to start recovery.

I saw someone with one of those wooden 3D puzzles. They are awesome! That's going to be my next project.
