Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 sorry sweet, I missed this post.

I know it's hard not having her there with you but try to take this time to catch up on some rest. She's in really good hands at the moment with the vet so know that she's getting the best care possible just like she would with you.

I'm glad you are taking your mum to the appointment tomorrow so she can ask questions and it will hopefully help you to be less overwhelmed with all the information to absorb.

I'll be around for the next few days other than my appointment tomorrow but that won't be for long. So I'm happy to chat with you whenever I can ☺️

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @Captain24 ,

Hope you can have a bit of a break. I know it's really hard at the moment. I'm around only for another hour, then I'm clocking off.

The kids were just in the pool. Once I hop off, I might spend some time in the water too.

Oh, and my sister is getting junk food tonight. The kiddos will be happy.

I have a training thing on Tuesday so I have to drive like 2 hours away... totally not looking forward to the traffic...

If you have to take it off, you have to. Pix means a lot to you.

And you're right in saying your mum can go with you and ask all those questions.

Re: I can’t cope

I’ll take that thanks @tyme

Im not even hungry but I know I need to eat.

Im trying to plan to get some stuff done tomorrow so im occupied while Pix is away. Jett will just follow me around.

Getting in the water sounds nice. Is it warm down there? Ooohhhh junk food!

I love that 2 hours seems like a long way. That’s how far it is to the hospital I have to have surgery at! But at least I don’t have to deal with traffic. Plus we are use to having to travel out here! Are you looking forward to the training though?

Re: I can’t cope

LOL. I didn't even book the training. A collegaue booked it and I receive a 'Successful Application' email... I was confused. It's on Behaviour and understanding behaviour.

I wasn't going to go purely because of the traffic... but looks like I'm going 🙂

I'm so time poor and that's why 2 hours seems a lot. @Captain24

If Pix is okay, I hope you don't have to cancel your work block. I know you sorta need it to keep you going (not just the money).

Do they have people that stay overnight at the vet?

Re: I can’t cope

That sounds really interesting @tyme. I think it’s right up your alley.

The traffic would get to me too. I didn’t like it the last time I came back from my psych appointment and there was traffic. I live in the country!

I couldn’t cope with being so busy. I know it keeps you distracted and you like it but it must get tiring?

If Pix doesn’t need insulin then I definitely won’t need the time off work. But if she does and she probably will I want to try and get her into a new routine depending on what the vet has to say. I can make any decisions until after the appointment tomorrow. I don’t really want to use my sick leave but if it needs to be done Pix comes first.

Nah. There is no one at the vet overnight. Only if she gets a call out. She hasn’t rung me yet so she must be busy. Hopefully she is there with Pix.

Re: I can’t cope

Or if she hasn't phoned you, it means Pix is okay! Well, steady anyway. Poor bubba will be missing you as much as you are missing her. @Captain24

I don't know anything about insulin etc in dogs. I only know for humans. I've had to to diabetes training when working with kids with diabetes. I've done PEG feeding training, epilepsy training, and diabetes training... I seem to have to do them all!

Once upon a time, I wanted to be a paedatrician.

If I jump into the pool at 8pm, is that too late??

Re: I can’t cope

Insulin in dogs is the same as humans. The whole diabetes is the same @tyme

She just sent through a text saying that Pix is much brighter and more alert. She will check on her during the night if she has call outs. I’m secretly hoping she has a few!!!

That would have been a cool job. Hard though.

I don’t think 8 is too late. It is here as it’s pretty cold!

I know you are about to finish but I really appreciate you spending this time with me. I really needed this. Thank you so much.

Re: I can’t cope

I can imagine this is really scary for you. @Captain24

Is there anything you need from me tonight? Here to talk. 💛

Re: I can’t cope

It is scary. The vet sent a message to say she is looking brighter and more alert. @AuntGlow

It’s very different without her here. It’s weird to only have one dog. But I am missing her so much and I’m so heartbroken that she is now sick for the rest of her life.

I am struggling with it and I have locked all the harmful stuff away.

Just company.

Dont worry about it.

I know you are busy and I don’t want to take you away from others. I’m just going to go to bed and just wish to no longer exist. I am safe
