I would LOVE your job too... @Captain24 . Just not the hours! It's either work all days or all nights... not days and nights! I'd be a walking zombie!

My eldest daughter works full time as a hair dresser and my younger one is still at school and works parttime at Subway. The Subway smell is sooooo strong, our place sometimes stinks of it. Did you have a part time job at school @Captain24 ? Mine was the local petrol station. Also stinky

They tried to bring that roster all days then all nights for each block but we voted it down. @tyme I couldn’t cope sitting in a truck for 5 nights! At the end of the block I get home at 8am then go to bed until 1. I feel kind of hungover for that afternoon but go the bed at normal time then the next day I’m completely fine.

I love my job @Former-Member. Obviously I have some bad days but it’s mostly pretty good.

A hairdresser would be helpful! Does she do your hair for you? I can understand the subway smell. My dad use to work at the local abbitoirs and all we could smell at home was blood and bone. Be thankful for the subway smell! Lol.

I hard a casual job 4hrs a week on Saturdays when I was in school. Being in a small country town everything shut at 5:30 or 6 every week night. Everything shut at 12 or 1 on saturdays and nothing opened in sundays. Including the supermarket. So it was hard

Oh @tyme, what a let down! I was going to suggest we duck round for all the ice cream we could eat @Captain24's ice cream van!!

And @tyme is right, shift work is hard on it's own, without anything else going on. You do cope amazingly well. I know you said a come down is happening and we are here for you Xx Through the highs and the lows

Yeah I grew up in a very small and isolated town too. It is hard to get work for anyone there. And thanks for the perspective check!! I will never complain about Subway again.....

If I don’t get any sleep after the last one I’m a nightmare by about 5 that afternoon. This Wednesday I have an appointment with my nurse at 1 so I have to get up earlier so I could be an interesting app! Lol

My MI is currently making it a little hard @Former-Member. I’ve had a fair bit of time off in the last 6 months.

The hardest part is between 3am and 5am. Once the sun starts coming up it helps rejuvenate you. I do get to see a lot of awesome sunrises and sunsets. We all comment on them.
