Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

I know you are doing the best you can @Captain24 .

I'm still one to believe meds have a huge part in what you are currently going through. It something happened and you felt like that, it would be validated. But if nothing has changed and you feel like that, it sounds chemical whether hormonal or med-related.

I think having control of your breath is the best way to reduce that feeling. Your breath is always with you. It is something you can work to control so that you do not feel so 'worked up'.

The hardest part for you is your shift work. Meds and shift work are not good friends.

Re: I can’t cope

I’ve been told the power of breathing over the last couple of months @tyme I would only think of it when I was told to but now I’m concentrating on it. It’s like, everything I’ve been told is starting to fall into place. I feel like I have a little clarity in some moments. Other moments I just feel out of control. Hopefully this means I’m making some progress.

The psychiatrist came up with a plan to help me with the meds and shift work. I think I’m really lucky.

Hope you sleep well

My emotions are all over the place. Mostly I’m irritable and angry but then I get depressed. After having no emotions for a while why did I get bad ones back?

Ever wonder what’s the point as no one cares anyway?

I feel so much agitation and pain inside my body. It feels like I’m going to explode.

@Captain24 do you think you can talk to a MH professional about it to make sure your meds are all okay for you? Sitting with you here ❤️

I talked to my nurse yesterday but she woke me up so I’m not sure I made much sense. She said she was going to call the GP and psychiatrist. We have an app tomorrow and then I see the GP Friday. Hopefully something can be sorted. @creative_writer

@Captain24 hope they are able to balance things out. We are not at the point of pharmacogenomic testing so it is trial and error. Do you think keeping a diary of your mood would help? It can help you track your mood and identify any triggers/ or anything that's made it worse.

I do journal and my nurse reads it. @creative_writer. I think my biggest trigger is my selfish self-centred mother. I’ve just been for a walk with her and I’m really really not ok. I can’t write what I’m thinking what I want to do or how I feel.
