Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Wow @Captain24. that is intense! I am not near any of the floods going on at the moment. Out of curiosity, how did they alert you when you are in a flood watch zone? And how do they alert you when you need to evacuate? I know the police often send messages to everybody’s mobile’s in my area if they require help. Sometimes people are missing and they will send an alert, asking people to be vigilant and make contact with them if we see anyone matching the description. Is it something like that system?

and boy, I could have used your help today. Flatpacks are not my thing. It was just a Kmart special, and I struggled with it LOL.

It’s an alert on the radio and Facebook. Im in a small country town in central NSW. So we rely on the radio. My house won’t flood but getting to work will be hard if it floods. I had to rice through flood waters to get home the other morning. @Former-Member

Eeeek! Were you scared? @Captain24

I live in a small city so I would imagine the forms of community communication would be very different LOL

I was shaking when I got through. The water was rushing so fast that it was taking my car off the road. I had to drive into the flow to try and keep straight. @Former-Member Im not in any hurry to do it again!

Re: I can’t cope

I bet you are not in a hurry to do that again!!

I have always been so surprised by the strength of water. It literally moves cars!! I always thought water appears so unassuming….. it’s lack of colour, it’s fluidity, the way we can trickle it through our fingers and yet it’s strength is unmatched for our sturdy cars 🚗. Might be silly, but whenever I hear about cars being taken by water, I try to balance what we need to move cars against the ease at which water moves them. I think of car hoists at the mechanics or the big chains that the tow trucks use. Cars are REALLY heavy.

Just some thoughts
