Welcome and getting started

Trying makes it worse

Trying makes it worse

Hi,

I'm EternalFlower and I've been feeling completely overwhelmed, sad, and pessimistic.

I've tried and been a responsible patient and person, reaching out to various services when I started feeling scarily anxious and suicidal, 2 years back..

My Dr is new, a young guy who regularly admits he's inexperienced, and aside from some good jokes, he actually does very little

I notice how easy it is to blame myself that I don't feel better, a total shame spiral, but I wander if my treatments just are bad....

I wanted to chat and hear anyone and hope I can use this space to help not feel so alone.

Thanks xxx EternalFlower

Re: Trying makes it worse

@EternalFlower Sorry you are going through bad stuff.

I have been using physical objects for calming for last 20 years. I usually have cushions on my couch and often hold them on my lap or on my heart when I am triggered. When I am going out, I might wear a badge my sister gave me or a scarf my daughter gave me. I also use my water bottle as a comfort object ... never had a blankie tho ...

Sometimes I do not have common sense to know what is safe and what is unsafe... re marches and stuff...

I have to tune out my mental chatter at times, then it comes around loud and clear, and lets me know I cannot shut it up for long. Sometimes like maddison I just lie down and rest for however long it takes to feel like getting up again. Love that kiwi idea.

Met a kiwi today. Person not fruit. Big guy. Beautiful voice.

Oh @maddison I think I like Dave Graney and dont believe I have heard of him before..lol @TAB

At least I feel that old world weary feeling at times, and he does it with humour. Not mad about him ... mind you ... balancing it out with some Seymour Bernstein which you would all probably hate!

I found this little cutey sitting by itself out in rain on the driveway, bringing the bins in the now. It's soooo tiny. I like it🙂

Haha.. That would really cool @EternalFlower

What are you up to today?

We had a hectic night. Police were here. HM is detoxing & not doing too well. I'm ok.

Have been out running errands & now I'm watching YT story by Jeannie Baker, called Belonging.

I'm not a cryer- this is making me cry - really happy tears tho xx (I might be 'pre-mens'!😉)

@maddison Its is funny how we all have unique emotional responses to things. Sounds like you did need an outlet of some kind though.

Back from physio. Have not seen her in a month.

Wow @maddison it is tiny! It’s so beautiful, though, does it have a scent? What a pool find. So many people walk through life without ever noticing the little things, and there is so much beauty in the little things.

How was your day?
