Welcome and getting started

Trying makes it worse

Trying makes it worse

Hi,

I'm EternalFlower and I've been feeling completely overwhelmed, sad, and pessimistic.

I've tried and been a responsible patient and person, reaching out to various services when I started feeling scarily anxious and suicidal, 2 years back..

My Dr is new, a young guy who regularly admits he's inexperienced, and aside from some good jokes, he actually does very little

I notice how easy it is to blame myself that I don't feel better, a total shame spiral, but I wander if my treatments just are bad....

I wanted to chat and hear anyone and hope I can use this space to help not feel so alone.

Thanks xxx EternalFlower

Hi @TAB @Appleblossom @maddison @Eve7

Unfortunately today cm went extremely mean and unfair and told me she won't see me again....she said I'm all sorts of bad and difficult etc etc

Re: Trying makes it worse

So she's playing to type and trying to pretend its all her idea and not yours. Same outcome either way @EternalFlower it just proves you were right

Re: Trying makes it worse

Gosh @EternalFlower What’s her problem? Isn’t that her job to see you?

Well she is history now for you @EternalFlower Try not to let it get to you.

Still hoping you get a better match SOON.

Thanks @Appleblossom @Eve7 @TAB @maddison

I may discharge myself, I don't think case management has worked. She doesn't get to make that call, really, she was saying all sorts of things which aren't true.

I asked for the process to make a formal complaint about her and what has happened and she said the clinic doesn't use email and I need to ask the recpetopnisrs for the number of the head of clinic, who may or may not take my call....

So not true, of course u email formal complaints....she said also I'm an "individual adult" "responsible for my own mental health" and I can figure it out myself

She says that whenever I ask things that are her role, like check something for me.

She is gone now and hope I am done with her and her drama.

Sounds odd as said . Hopefully you don't have to deal with her anymore @EternalFlower

Re: Trying makes it worse

It doesn't make sense @TAB

Her role is to help with mh

She said "You're responsible for Ur own mental health"

I said "You're responsible for Ur role as case manager."

She does nothing but abuse.

try not to think about it @EternalFlower she doesn't deserve to live 'rent free in your head' as they say

Re: Trying makes it worse

@EternalFlower I do not think the 'case manager system' has a better way of dealing with a personality clash, but to try someone else and hope for better. It does not help to get into an argument loop. Formal complaint may help, at least it is registered with the service.

Responsibility is a word tossed around a lot. From what I can see you are doing LOTS to look after your mental health properly. Keep doing the right thing.
