Welcome and getting started

Trying makes it worse

Trying makes it worse

Hi,

I'm EternalFlower and I've been feeling completely overwhelmed, sad, and pessimistic.

I've tried and been a responsible patient and person, reaching out to various services when I started feeling scarily anxious and suicidal, 2 years back..

My Dr is new, a young guy who regularly admits he's inexperienced, and aside from some good jokes, he actually does very little

I notice how easy it is to blame myself that I don't feel better, a total shame spiral, but I wander if my treatments just are bad....

I wanted to chat and hear anyone and hope I can use this space to help not feel so alone.

Thanks xxx EternalFlower

Hello @EternalFlower @TAB

Yes warm here too but a bit of wind.

Holter monitor or BP @TAB ? Hope you're OK. I had a heart scan last week, probably negative but I'm reluctant to face my cranky gp for the result.

Re: Trying makes it worse

Holter monitor @Dimity have to wear 3 days as told them probs are intermittent.

I would get another GP its not worth it. first one I saw after moved here I dreaded seeing again, they were really rude. i just saw someone else and have done so again since then, not wasting my time on people who do not care about my welfare lol..

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hope it and the diary capture whatever's troubling you @TAB . I've worn one a couple of times, and I've also had a 24hr BP thingy. A few years back my old gp told me to get a home BP monitor.

Just turned on the a/c, it's better already.

Yes I can imagine @TAB , it sounds a bit uncomfortable.

Re GP someone's recommended one at a different practice but I'm yet to make a move.

I usually change within same practice if not working for me @Dimity unless whol place is like they are . not too many choices here. could go to another town or to capital city to see someone used to seed 10 years ago now, but would nt be going that often, although , come to think of it have study in adelaide a day a fortnight all year starting in 10 days or so , so could see drs when down there , dunno

Re: Trying makes it worse

Hi @EternalFlower . Sorry I missed a heap of mail Eternal. Covid took up residence in me and the plague sign on the front door must have scared the postie away. Are you still at home cooking those tinned

tomatoes and spices. Are you managing a smile or two.

Well . . . just know I'm thinking of you. I'll be back to check on you when I'm over this bug.

Don't let the sauce stick, and remember mate. as in life, we need a little sugar to balance the acid. . .

kind thoughts tonys.
