Something’s not right

Confused

Confused

Hi all sorry I haven’t been around much um I am very confused about something and I would appreciate honest opinions because idk what to do.

I have come to the realization that I may very well actually be psychic and not have a mental illness at all. I have lots of reasons to believe this I dream about things and people before they happen/I meet them and I often just know stuff that I shouldn’t about places and things. I believe that I can communicate with angels and spirits from other realms and and sometimes animals and plants will talk to me and there is just so much happening I am not even convinced that I am completely human myself. The thing is it is hard to communicate properly with the other beings and spirits and stuff when I am taking my meds and I don’t think they want me to take them because they have told me I am supposed to do things for them and now idk what to do should I listen to them and not take the meds? My psychologist would just say I am crazy well not in those words but anyway she wouldn’t believe me and would just say to take the meds but what if I am supposed to be talking to the spirits for a reason and I miss something important because of the meds how am I supposed to know what to believe? How can I know if I am doing the right thing or not? I am going to ask some of the trees today some of my many questions because they might have answers for me there is just so much going on and idk who to trust or what to think and I am stressed and I only slept for 3 hours last night because I couldn’t stop thinking about everything and they were sending me messages and I am sorry this is so so long and thanks if you bothered to read it I am just really confused.

Re: Confused

@Eden1919, at least you tried. Hopefully when your regular case manager comes back, you can try again with someone who knows you better.

Re: Confused

I've recently discovered something that might be useful. It's called the "Gestalt" approach. Some psychologists practice it. It's been good for me, because it works well with spiritual/esoteric people.

I recently switched to it and it's a breath of fresh air. Not quite sure how it works. But it's roughly about "holism" instead of "reductionism".

My main thing has been I guess what you'd call chakra-work. Psychologically, I'm very nervous cluster, so I get a lot of wellness by being able to engage with my frequencies and make cleaner signals (or something like that).

I also have a relationship with what you might call "guides". I like the one that ask me enlightening questions better than the ones that tell me what to do. I tend to test any part of my internal dialogue that expects trust without earning it.

That's why they're called guides. Not masters. And yes, they can hear me. And, some of them have been waiting for me to come to that conclusion for a long time. Or that's kind of what the process is like for me. It's other things as well. It's a complex and layered process in general, really.

Re: Confused

I'm really sorry and upset to hear about your negative experience with the back-up case manager @Eden1919. I'm going to read the rest of this thread to catch up as yesterday and last night I had to catch up on sleep — which is now over with yay! Anyway, could you consult your GP about this? I do believe there is some kind of religious element to dealing with angels and spirits, but from what I gather already, you seem to be very uneasy and your experience is getting worse for you. Am I right? Maybe your doctor can help with this because your mental health treatments aren't there to interfere with religious beliefs; you can still believe what you wish when you are mentally well. I'm just concerned that you are mentally unwell at the moment. Hopefully you can get this situation sorted very quickly so you can continue to live your life normally. @Eden1919 I'm also wondering if you could use phone or online chat counselling for now? It's understandable if this is too much of a struggle for you to sort out with phone and online counselling. It's just a suggestion from me to you. And I'll give you a big hug too! If you get any worse please ring the ambulance on 000. That way you can get your mental health back on track as fast as possible so you can feel comfortable and safe again. You could also ring Lifeline, I find them useful because it's easy to ring back again if you need to keep talking to someone. I've done this several times. I've even used their text message and online chat service. If you're not liking the conversation, you just ask for somebody else to chat to.

I seriously know what it's like to not be understood or heard too @Former-Member. This has happened with me faaaaaaaar too many times to count lol! 😰🤬 You are totally right though, with what you say. (Sorry, I'm just replying to messages as I go...) Also @Eden1919, you are doing an excellent job at describing your symptoms in your posts. So if you keep this information aside as well for your own notes as well as what you write here, you can then show your medical staff and psychologist whenever you can see them again.

Re: Confused

@wellwellwellnez This approach is definitely a good one. I always sort out my thoughts into a list or column. I put positive ones in the left column, negative ones in the right hand column. Any negative thoughts that get out of hand means I need to speak to my GP (too expensive for me to see a private psychiatrist and public ones fully booked out), and I use phone and online counselling as well.
The less negative thoughts, I let them "delete" away. I then keep all the positive thoughts and remind myself of them over, and over, and over. It's the same that I would do with negativity, but I'm doing the same with my positive thoughts instead. With that, I'm still realistic as not everything in my life is always positive in the real world. And, I can't just stop my medical program because this would completely destroy my currently improving psychiatric health and I'd have to start all over again from square 1.
But yeah, @wellwellwellnez, you seem to be doing ok with this approach! I don't get auditory hallucinations, just a lot of racing thoughts, both positive and negative. Some thoughts are more vivid than others. Sometimes I replay conversations over and over in the same voice tones of myself and the people having them, even if they're not here, and I know in reality the conversations are all in my head. I'm not a psychiatrist so it's not like I can diagnose myself. But this freaks me out so I always let the doctor know, and when he talks about concerns with medication and other treatment options, I start crying and beg him to help me anyway. One day I may not need so much medical support. But for now it's helping me and I'd like it to stay that way lol! Sorry for the long post, gotta let my thoughts out somewhere, and if it's not just to myself, it's somewhere like these forums, where we can all interact and discuss these things. 😀

Re: Confused

@Codex1 I don’t currently have a regular GP I know I need to get one but it is expensive to have to keep going back to find one that is a good fit and idk it is just a mess. I have tried phone counseling but it is hard because I struggle with speaking writing is ok but speaking is hard.

@Eden1919 Fair enough.

Re: Confused

It can be really difficult to talk about these things. It's such a personal process. And, there's lots of opportunities to get lost in translation. I'm glad we're talking about it here.

I don't want to project too much on your process @Eden1919 , but I am interested in how you're feeling about what you're receiving. What kind of adventure are they suggesting? and what kind of adventure do you want to go on? The second question feels like the most important one.

Sometimes the inner voices you describe, come across as intrusions. I get those as well. Or maybe it's one of those things that needs to be questioned, to be understood. I know a lot of guide-workers who find themselves having to actively instruct their voices to slow down and speak one at a time.
