2022

2022

This year will be different to last

I have some plans in the making and a lot will happen and change.

I nearly had a panic attack tonight but avoided it entirely by thinking through what needed to be done in the immediate future. So I did exactly what I knew I needed to. And left it there.

I also fixed my mattress for a temp fix before I get the new one.

There's always so much on my mind. So much I want and need.

But I know the strides I made last year will push me forward.

Just need to set a routine and be stringent. But also not hard on myself.

Its hard for me socially atm so I take what I can.

Dating - I have no idea and to be honest I'm okay with that. I have some apps but I will ween myself away from it. I'm open minded enough. Thatll do for now.

Now it's bed time.

Talk tomorrow

Re: 2022

I felt the same about my commerce degree @MDT. It was life sapping and soul destroying. I finished my degree but it was not worth the trouble in hindsight. I am sorry you are in this position. My father worked in a job he hated all his life. Sadly I think most people are kind of going through the motions and having no meaning or enjoyment in the work they do. I hope one day you can apply yourself to work you love if that could become a reality. Some people are able to work it in their favor somehow.

Re: 2022

Yeah fair enough @MDT I’ve only recently found this out about myself and it’s a bit confusing. I’m taking it in and also pushing it away, but it sort of outlines why somethings like toxicity takes a while to process but yeah…I guess self awareness is a big thing it’ll make making decisions easier later I hope

Re: 2022

Agreed @Former-Member

I think self awareness is a great drug. Lol.

Yeah I've noticed that toxic things need to be starved of oxygen. In many cases it could be things like attention or responses.

Today a weird thing happened. Just weird. I can't read in into it. But its evident that what I'm doing for work is not making the mustard. What must've been basic errors to others were not accepted as such.

This is my thinking in leaving. Is it worth the effort and stress and politics? No it is not.

You know sometimes people can be rewarded for being toxic. That's how screwed some things are

Re: 2022

@MDT Yeah do what you think is right, but have some plans if your original plan didn’t work out of that makes sense. If you can overcome it, then overcome it, maybe it is a test?????

but true character is a hard one you can keep working on yourself and try enjoying the little things involved in your work and focus on the money I guess

i can see the picture your painting but I don’t think I can help in your decision making

Re: 2022

I guess at the end of the day @MDT, the choice is up to you. Maybe consider what benefits your job is having on your own life as opposed to some of the toxicity being expressed around your work environment? But it's up to you what you do. Also consider your payroll. I hope you come to the right decision for you!
