Today has been a very, very difficult day for the entire school community here in Tasmania. Inexplicably 5 beautiful children, celebrating their last day at Primary school, lost their lives in a tragic accident. Several more are still in a critical condition and there really are no words for what the families and community are going through.
At this time it puts a lot into perspective. Every day is a gift!

I have been asked to meet with a friend tomorrow who is from the area where this tragedy happened (she is in the south for christmas). I reached out to her straight after I found out the horrible news but I don't think I can actually do it tomorrow. My sister is going to meet with her so she will not be alone. I will feel selfish if I do not go but I am struggling to look after myself so it may actually be more detrimental to us both if I do go ...maybe wait until tomorrow and see!
