A safe place to share my thoughts

A safe place to share my thoughts

Hello,

I need a safe place to share my thoughts right now. Anyone else is welcome to reply and share their thoughts as well.

I really miss being physically close and intimate with a man, and it's going to be a long time until I experience that again because I don't want to have sex outside of a relationship. I couldn't handle that at all.

Well that's all I have to say about it. I might add to it later.

Re: A safe place to share my thoughts

In terms of self-care, these are my strategies, hopefully readers here might be reminded of their own, whether from my list or your own mind:

  • dance - any style you like: personally, I find Street Latin and Swing very healing in their own ways; try K-Pop if you're into something lighter
  • music - playing/singing
  • music - listening - Spotify is great for curating and you can discover lots of new music this way
  • exercise - a healthy body enables a healthy mind
  • mindfulness meditation - this one takes patience - explore with a trusted health professional if you're unsure where to start
  • writing - anything from family history narratives to fantasy or fairy tale and everything in between! Journalling has helped me immensely, too.
  • talking/messaging/connecting - with safe people: expand your trusted friendship circle - we humans are social beings after all

And of course, build your support team with professionals who you trust! Everyone's support team will look a little different, and that's perfectly okay!

I know the feeling. I'm engaged. But hang fiancé has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Before that. He was constantly cheating on me. I'm a last resort. It's killing me inside. But that makes him less attracted to see it hurts.
