Re: Hi

Dear @MDT

You do see a lot of the nuances in life and I really love that about you.

Your dream can be unpacked in different ways.... Profession groups and associations are a form of "togetherness" in our pluralistic society. Despite the partying things can go bad, and we are all vulnerable when on the outer. Still having a dream showing death and one's own death can leave a bad after taste.

As far as I am concerned coming from zee opposite sex and an older gen and all that .... its not all about getting the job and the girl and settling down. That is too monochrome for the rich diversity that really is human life. Also with way of tek and social media often a lot of energy is spent on presenting the story of success.

Go gently and let your path unfold..

Re: Hi

Quite right you are @Appleblossom

I am finding spending time in the quiet helps me unfold what's folded up in my mind.

I think if I am to study again I need to be out of home. This environment is not conducive to further study. Too much white noise. Too open plan. People moving in and out.
Especially if I am to take up something else entirely like cybersecurity or similar.
I will need a space to myself with no distractions or anything going on in the background.
I think if it were something like a cert 4 it could be a different story.

Anyway. Once I complete this "degree" I will focus instead on landing a decent paying job. Then further real study can come. I think thus is a healthier approach than saying ill sing up for a degree and then stay at home and study because I could end up here til I'm 31. Which I don't want.

This "course" I am doing has definitely opened up my mind to this tech industry though I must say.

Re: Hi

Watching people and the way they behave while ordering and waiting is interesting and revealing.
Many seem to think they are owned the world because of the fact they ordered something.
No need to be rude to the staff they are just doing a job.
Lol

anyone around ?

I know its a monday morning, but I am feeling overwhelmed and tired of it all

Waking up early to do work when there is technically no work is weird and off putting

i am having feelings of doubt and worthlessness

I am wondering what I am doing

moved post here

sorry @oceangirl didn't realise i was on your thread when i made that other post

Re: Hi

@MDT

hey ham. I'm around! I'm on a zoom lecture but not really paying attention...

Yeah - that sounds rough. About a month ago I was really struggling with lockdown as I wasn't working. I found it really difficult. But you're not alone - there's a community here for you.

Anything you can do today to distract yourself maybe? I can chat for a while if that helps take your mind off things.

Re: Hi

hey @Former-Member

yeah idk

i think my work team think I'm a bludger or something. There's no work. Legit. None. It's absurd. No one wants to admit it, but if you do you're frowned upon. Reminds me of my old job lol

I'm not coping with lockdown either tbh.
